Reports

It's simple.
I report something, and it's immediately closed with no action. This is a regular pattern among admins, won't name any names, but whenever I make a report when one is needed there is no action taken.
Why are reports no longer being taken seriously?

There could likely be action taking place behind the scenes via PM

There wasn't.

How do you know? You can't see other people's PMs...

First of all I can watch if PMs are sent:

Second, I reported topics to be merged and the reports were closed simultaneously. I also reported you earlier for backseat moderating, were you PM'd?

Are you always online?

Let's not get into this again, but no, I have not backseat moderated except for once in the Graphics forum a while ago, so you are incorrect

I'm usually always online when my reports are responded to.
You weren't PM'd though, and the report was closed right away with no action. The topics I reported weren't merged, and this is a pattern with a particular admin. The rules either need to be changed, or the admin needs to start doing their job. That's what I'm complaining about in this thread. This has been happening to me for weeks.

About your requests for merging threads in Help & Support with your "simple questions" thread, those reports were closed because it's not like those threads need to be merged with yours. Your simple questions thread has no officiality and honestly just makes things harder to find in that forum - the entire Help & Support forum is supposed to be a simple questions forum, and asking for most of the forum's content to be moved into a single thread seems a little silly.
Just to be clear, I wasn't even the one who closed those reports but I understand why they were and personally agree with this.
Also, like PixelPest said, you really can't know when PMs are being sent to people, because you're not always online and when you are, you're not always checking the Who's Online page.

When does "officiality" come into play? Unofficial threads are merged all the time if there's already a topic for them, so I don't see why my topic is any different. I disagree with your analysis of what my thread, and so does this person:

At least I got an answer though, thanks Pseudo.

Oh huh, I kind of feel differently now but I acknowledge that I said that. I guess it probably could be stickied but I'll look into it. Apologies for the inconsistency.

AeroMatter, stop talking about how you think reports are not dealt with. Just because you're not seeing a certain string of actions on the Who's Online page doesn't at all mean that reports are not handled properly. In addition, stop trying to monitor the staff.
