Will these be 12 episodes this year, or 1 episode with the winner gets to make a boss level?
I want to make this 1 episode again, but I might get rid of the boss idea. After I complete SMC I will be able to make time to make nice hubs or maps myself. If the first year of contests isn't an episode I will make another post with all the file shares for them at the very least.
I am going to miss that, because I wanted to make a lua based boss. I can help with hubs and world-maps. I hope the contest is a solar eruption (blast)!

The only reason for me getting rid of it is if the winner of the contest doesn't make the level. Maybe I'll just make it optional.

You don't need to use it to participate. It's completely optional.

...Even though it is optional, I believe the judges will not give a level a higher or lower score that may use lua. in MaGLX 2, I think one of the top three levels out of 273 used no lua at all.

I now realized... My break isn't over. Guess I'll end up taking a quick taste of the thing I like to call: "Pre-Summer School" because there's literally school days for me when I would be making a level for... Uh... This and those projects, as well as beta testing...

It is up to the judges weather or not you get marked down or not for lava usage. If you use lava enough where it takes up enough to also be classified as a lava level, then yes. You can make hybrids. You are basically allowed any level theme if you have it with lava. I could submit an ice level to this contest if It is more than half. Like Sky/Lava. Most people will be making world 8 levels, or castle levels. You can submit a tank level if you know a clever way to use the lava with it. I am sure people will make Caverns for this to. It all depends on the creativity you can get with lava.

Even I was thinking mostly of World 8 levels, but just affiliating lava works as well I suppose. It's a risky move to stray from the usual lava levels, but I'd be interested to see those kind of submissions in the mix too.

Wow, I didn't knew that. I'm also didn't expect 2 submissions before the month of the deadline. There's still plenty of time to make a level.
