Wow this site seems dead. Might need to liven this up.

Not sure if anyone is reading this, and I heard about the cease and desist, (and I also use to use this editor a long time ago).
First off, if I'm wrong in anyway feel free to correct me.
I would like to start making episodes here. And maybe suggest a few of my buddies from a Zelda forum to liven the place up too!
If this is supposed to remain dead, or isn't dead, or if i am wrong in any way... then like i said, feel free to educate me on how things work.
I would love to see this place reanimated with creativity!
Thanks for reading.

EDIT: I just now saw the forum for episodes. man do I feel dumb

This forum is quite active, actually. The C&D happened quite a long time ago (2011) to the original forums, this is a brand new site.

This site is by no means dead. Several hundred people visit it daily and the last Community (level) Contest had 83 entries

What does not getting a review for a nearly month ago posted level have to do with this site being dead?
Did you pm maybe one of the judges to review it anyway?

No. Should I?
And yes it has much to do. No one reviews because there is not too many people.

random irl stuff eats up my time, so that's why I haven't reviewed a level for a long time. I'll get back into fast judging in the very late end of may and maybe review your levels.

No reviews doesn't mean the site is dead. The site would be dead if nobody would post anything in here anymore.
And yes?? You should maybe try do that.

Just because your levels aren't getting reviewed doesn't mean the forum is dead. The Level Judges have a life outside the forum and might not get to your level right away, so it's definitely a good idea to PM a Level Judge(s).

Maybe instead of criticizing the kid for "not being patient enough" for waiting a fucking month for his level reviews to arrive. Instead of criticizing the 'impatient' kids who wait forever for quality reviews, maybe we should turn the spotlight on our dead level judges.
We're always complaining and making snarky comments about all the awful designers we have, but we can't say much when we don't make a decent effort to help them improve, as the people most responsible for this are the level judges, which right now is a DEAD group. Valtteri, get new level judges please.

The "kid" could've sent any judge a review request. If I receive one I always deliver on it after a short amount of time, and I'm sure any other judge would do the same. If someone's impatient in getting their level reviewed, they should contact us, because we aren't watching the forum 24/7 waiting for new levels to review to arrive.
The effort to make a designer improve isn't solely in the hand of level judges, though. Anyone is able to drop feedback on a level. Seeing that not many people are doing this either, I wonder where you'd even pull a new judge lineup from. Especially because people apply for the position and aren't cherrypicked by one of our admins.

That's all nice and dandy, but a kid requesting a review shouldn't be the only way they can get one. I'm jot expecting you to watch the level forum all the time and fall at your knees to review every level that comes through, but you all SHOULD be doing more than you currently are.

I sent an application to become one about 20 hours ago.

Trust me, life will catch up to you and you either have no time to do reviews or get bored of it.

This is how I see it:
Because being a Level Judge is something you have to apply for, it should be something you not only want to do, but also something you know that you'll be able to do on a consistent basis in the future. Requests shouldn't be necessary to get levels reviewed in a timely manner. If you don't want to review levels anymore, you should resign. If you find that you don't have enough time to review levels anymore (or at least be able to prioritize an average of one review per day), you should also resign. We're not expecting level judges to watch the levels forum 24/7, but at least watch it 0.015/7.
