If you look at the description for the "Episodes" forum it states that as soon as an episode is posted, it can be considered for inclusion on the main site. Bear in mind that this description was written when featured episodes were still a thing. They are not anymore, but this description still stands, and as for now, that is not true, because featured episodes are no longer a thing. This could potentially hype up certain new users who do not know that featured episodes are not a thing anymore, at the hopes of getting their episode "featured" when they're not anymore.

So...is it possible that this description be changed to something more fitting to reflect the current situation?

That description was written by Redigit, I believe, and I decided to keep it - I must've thought I'd be doing something with inclusion of episodes on the episodes page (and we did when episodes were featured), and I know I wanted to eventually include official episodes there too. We'll see if anything more comes of it. I know that it's not exactly accurate right now but I don't see too much of an issue with it. If someone comes in the episodes forum and absolutely blows people away with a high quality episode, I suppose I can't rule out putting it on the episodes page at some point. Redigit had mentioned a long time ago wanting to do an "episode slider" thing, so maybe that's what he had in mind when he wrote the description.

EDIT: Never mind, looks like Redigit probably didn't write that description because there wasn't an Episodes forum on the original site. Weird. I wonder where I got it from, if anywhere. I may remove it.

I gather Summer Takeover and VVinter Redemption didn't blow up enough lakes? :p
