NSMB World Editor GFX Pack Part 1

Postby Gaming-Dojo » Mon Apr 25, 2016 12:54 pm

Here's a pack I made as I think it woud be nice to have NSMB not only as a graphic style for levels but also for the editor so here`s the screenshot of the tiles, scenery and levels in use:

sorry for the larry airship but it wasn't possible to make it have clearer shape.Other koopaling airships, ice, poison, beach, lava etc. tilesets might follow if you like and need/would use them.
And there's the download link http://www.mediafire.com/download/dnc6r ... or+gfx.zip
please give feedback, credit not necessarily needed

Looks nice if you want to make it completly NSMB themed like that and if everything else is NSMB themed aswell with 1x1 pixels.

Well by it's usefulness, if you have everything to be NSMB based levels inside it it can be useful for sure...

do the gfx look good or are there things that need an urgent makeover (don't name 1x1 pixels, they are set by chance)

In all honesty I don't think it looks good at all. Some of the elements are stretched or compressed, such as the castle, the mushrooms are all choppy around the bottoms, as are the rims of the pipes, and finally the paths cutoff and don't flow well together at all, just to name a few things. I think it needs a ton of work

@PixelPest:what means they look choppy? (I'm no native English speaker) and also PM me all the things being not well concretely so I have the chance to try to make them look better.

Where is the graphics pack for levels? I don't use the world map editor as it crashes every time i test it.

Eh, I'm gonna have to agree with Pixel here. It's not that you did a bad job or that the graphics look bad it's just they don't "fit". Personally I think any graphics ripped straight from the NSMB games (Without being stylized) look bad. They just always look so pixelated and out of place to me.
