SMBX - The Darkness(WIP)

As of right now, I'm working on this game called "The Darkness." It starts off fairly easy, and gets harder as you go along in the game. Each world includes 2 bonus stages, 3 boss stages, and 7 normal stages, for a total of 12 stages. There's also a few references to other games. Each bonus stage is based off of a different video game or video game franchise. Some stages have quotes as references as well. Currently, I do not have a logo for it. If anyone world like to create one for me, then feel free, and PM me once it's finished so I can look over it. The Darkness also has 2 new Power-ups: The Electric Flower and the Rock Flower!

Story:

One day, Peach is kidnapped once again! However, this time, it seems like Bowser has gotten some help from outside sources. Ganondorf and Mother Brain ruptured the Time-Space Continuum, alerting the main antagonist, known as The Dark Lord, who was able to start corrupting the Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule(From The Legend of Zelda), and the Metroid dimension, Planet Zebes. It is up to Mario to stop him before it's too late!

Toad's Tools(1-2), Submerged Castle Bleck(1-6), Dark Palace(2-4), Green Greens(2-9), The Ruins(3-1), Terraria(3-7)
Bonus stage bosses and misc. info:
Toad's Tools: None; Toad's Tools is a hub world to "buy" power-ups.
Submerged Castle Bleck: Dimentio; Starts as an underwater stage and becomes a castle stage.
Dark Palace: Dark Link; The level forces you to play as Link for the duration of the stage.
Green Greens/Mirror World: King Dedede and Shadow Dedede; One of 2 bonus stages with 2 bosses, and the only one to be 2 stages in 1.
The Ruins: Undyne and a secret boss; Based on Undertale, the only other bonus stage with 2 bosses.
Terraria: The King Slime; Based entirely off of Terraria, currently the only bonus stage with cutscenes.

Electric Flower: A yellow flower which paralyzes foes! It's quite shocking if I do say so myself.
Rock Flower: This gray flower allows you to throw rocks like Clawgrip. In fact, the texture is the exact same!

I think the toad saying that you have determination is unnecessary, why is he there? why does he say this? I understand that many levels have references, but you should keep them with the plot or scene of the level. Maybe before a boss battle something says that? (Sorry if I hurt your feelings, I don't wanna be mean. )

Well, it's in the Pipe Maze area of the level, and he's been stuck there forever! The game tells you to stay determined during the maze because it's meant to be very difficult.
