2k16 Hypnosis Redo - July Update

This episode is a remake of 2k15 Halloween Hypnosis. It was inspired by Pyro's attempt at Let's Playing the episode.
You might be thinking: "Why don't you just post this in the other thread?"
Well I WOULD if this wasn't a pretty much completely different episode!
Like yeah. BARELY anything is kept. Here's a list of stuff that's different:
-An inventory system
-Actual shops
-4 new levels!
-Remakes of the existing levels!
-Choice of path in the intro level rather than subtly inserted throughout the game
-Consistent and restructured plot
-Completely new bosses!
-Progression isn't confusing!
-Characters with character
-Decent code

Wow the HUD looks great! And the level screens looks nice and detailed, especially the crystal pipe(?). I'm looking forward to this, Good job.

Time for a small update.

First, here's a screenshot of the 3rd level in the good arc: Liquid Peak (formerly Burning Cliffs). You team up with Marina in this level to progress past pits of lava.

I was in the mood to put together a level list. There are 4 new levels. Can you guess what they'll be about, what kind of personality they have and who you'll fight at the end? I'd like to see some of your speculation!

People with OCD might die from the non-centered text.

I'm about 37% done with this episode. Due to real life stuff taking up a lot of my time, you can expect a release at some point this summer. I'll definitely drop some more updates along the way.

end of the month progress updates. Heck yeah!

So yeah I'm at probably 46% now. I'm excluding Grand Chemo 666 from this counter because it's just easier to divide by 10 than by 11 and I'm lazy.
There hasn't been much progress this last month apart from getting liquid peak done and doing a good portion of Darkmatter Fleet, the penultimate level of the good timeline.

Yeah that's possible in case you didn't know. And yes this level has a checkpoint in the middle of the autoscroll section. Radical.

Part of my time this month was taken up by working on a playable character. I've put that one on hold to devote more of my free time into this. There's some cool stuff I have planned.

June Update:
Population: Right now.

I've overcome real life stress of the month™ and finished Darkmatter Fleet. This is the current progress on levels.

As you can see, level names aren't finalised. Whoo! Things change sometimes! Anyways. Yellow levels are what's going on right now, red ones aren't started yet.

What the heck. Yeah. I make tilesets sometimes.

Things should pick up a bit from now on. No promises though.

AS YOU CAN TELL
there was progress.

2 levels finished, the final 2 main storyline levels in development.
Trailer next month? Sure.
Good path finished? YOU BET.
Is the final boss of the good timeline fun? Heck yeah!

Catharsis, the final level of the good path, is heavily inspired by Halberd from Kirby Super Star Ultra. It has multiple completely custom bosses and a very elaborate setting. It's my favourite level of the episode so far.
I hope all of you are as excited for this episode to be released as I am. I'm probably heavily underestimating the work I still have to do, but I firmly believe that a September release is possible.

This is looking pretty good! I'm excited to play this when it's done. Considering the original Halloween Hypnosis was great, I'm expecting this one will be even better!
