Yuu, here is my review for this level.

Technical level design

Well, this level is good to be frankly. It is a well designed slightly difficult level. The secrets are not really hidden, but at the same time there are not that great rewards for getting into them, only coins. This makes it interesting if you want to get some power-ups which this level does not give a lot of. The fact that you only give the player leafs adds to this difficulty. This happens because when i played the level, i kicked shells around... which is the biggest fail a player can make in the dugout. All the slopes make the shells slide in mario's face often, and when i played it was the cause of 2 of my 3 deaths. giving a leaf only gives you the ability to make koopa shells easier to kick yourself in the face with, because the tail does not kill them. The other time i died was because i wanted to jump on a koopa at the end of the first section.

The extended part of the ground makes the koopa return in a unknown amount of time. This way, if you try to jump on him and miss him by a hair, and you don't get back in time, you will get hurt... which i thought was unfair.
There is also another unfair part of the level in the pipe/water section.

The water makes it unable to see the block, i don't know if you are pulling a kaizo for when the player wants to dodge an enemy or that you just want to make the water come out more, because both are in effect here.

Design and Vibe

Graphics: you used the right enemies for this level, especially because you used the red goomba and a more dusty colored swooper. That really set the tone for this level to be a dugout or even some kind of canyon.
Another enemy i enjoyed was the boo, just for the fact that he also want to be hip with his Koopa's Dugout cap.
The ground tiles and pipes also fit the theme, being kinda rust-coloured and earth colours.
The background is a no-brainer, it is a dugout, so it has to be an underground background, the highest section is nearly aboveground which is a nice touch.

Now.. the music, in my opinion the most important part of a level.
I will not say that the music is bad, by any means keep using it if you like, but... first, the different musical pieces did not fit quite well together (remember, a level is like an nice apple pie. you want everything to be ), and secondly.. there were too many different pieces of music for a 3 minute level (6 minutes tops). Finally i do not really think the song used in sections 3 and 6 fits the theme, it is more of a desert like music instead of a underground feeling type.

My final score for this level is

7.8/10
