An Average Adventure (Stuck In Iceburn Keep Lately)

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first project! Now called An Average Adventure!
This project is SMW-styled, which means that 90% of the graphics will be in that style (I kinda need to take some creative liberties here and there). Also, every level in the game will have Dragon Coins in them, so look out for those.
The episode will contain the standard 8 worlds, as well as a Star and Special world. That counts to over 60 main levels, and 13 bonus levels.Of course, I'm also including secret exits into this.
Story:
Bowser had captured Princess Peach again, and with plans to reduce the Mushroom Kingdom to ruin. Mario sets out to stop him once more, but not before a Toad caught the sight of a captured Luigi as well! Mario looks off in the distance as Bowser escapes with both captives in hand. Using a hot air balloon, he tries to catch up with Bowser, but the fuel runs out, and he lands on a strange island full of wonder. He still sees Bowser in the distance, so he sets off to stop Bowser, and our adventure begins!
Assuming that you're probably bored of all this talking by now, here are some screenshots to show that this is real:
New Screens 4/3/2016
Return of the Screens 4/16/2016
Green Screens 5/8/2016
Revengeance of the Screenshots
Here we have the people whose graphics I've
stolen borrowed:

h2643
Sednaiur
Enjl
Squishy Rex
regrhre
SilverDeoxys563
Natsu
DarkMecha

Zant
FanofSMBX
zlakergirl357
Shikaternia (ripped by TNTtimelord)
TNTtimelord
Chad
Elbow
Nat the Porcupine
etc.
Note:Some peoples graphics may not be visible in the screenshots yet.
Finally, here's the progress rate so far:
Bumpy Grassland:100%
Scorching Sands:100%
Sparkling Waters:100%
Floral Plains:100%
Iceburn Keep:55%
Forestrial Territory:10%
Beige Mountains:0%
Pyral Cauldron:0%
Star World:30%
Special World:0%
An important thing to add: this project will use LunaLua, mostly due to the episode using sound format not used in the base editor, as well as some cool tricks here and there.
I have a demo now!
Apparently

Thanks for using my graphics. I love the backgrounds. Howver, I do have two minor quibbles:
1. Squishy Rex and I made a SMW Mario and Luigi with the correct height using LunaDLL if you want it.
2. The Reznor fire look SMB3 recolored like in SMSE.

Nice screens!
I love the iced-tower (or else?). It's sounds very difficult!
Also, I love the pipe-land level, the background looks very brillant, in my opinion. I ask me if there is a SMB3 one ...
Anyway, I said that here there isn't a name. Well, what do you think of " Super Mario World's Revenge ", " Quantix's SMW Challenge ", " The Super Mario World Remake " or " Bowser's SMW Rise " ??
Good job!

Really? Can you show me where you have that small Mario and Luigi sprite? I'd request it, but I can't.

Bowser's SMW Rise does sound cool. Definitely not The Super Mario World Remake though. I want this to be entirely original(I'm too lazy to remake that game, anyway).

Damn, first Mother Brain Calamity, then A Trivial Quest, now this! The amount of SMW projects is slowly increasing... This doesn't look too bad for a first episode, but there are some flaws here and there.
-Judging from the screenshots, the NPC placement is kinda lacking in some of the levels (particularly the brown cave and castle). Makes them look kinda empty.
-The Sizeables in the brown cave (At at least I assume that is what they are) I feel should be a bit darker so they
don't look like you
can't go through them.
The BG and Castle tiles in the "Iceburn Keep" screenshot look very out of place in a SMW-styled episode. The level design, judging from the screenshot (again), looks very messy as well.
-Almost everything in the grass-mountain level looks... pretty okay actually. Almost reminds me of a SMW hack. I know at least 10% of the sprites in this episode won't be SMW, but using the SMB3 style bushes seems somewhat odd when you see the designs of the bushes in the first screenshot. I'd recommend reusing the bushes from the first screen and recoloring them to fit with the grass if you're aiming for consistency.
But like I said before, this doesn't look too bad for a first episode. It's got some good potential and there's plenty of room for improvement. Best of luck to you with your project!

Yeah, I've noticed.
The brown cave section you see is actually autoscrolling, with the walls moving with you(kinda like that one level in TSRPR), which unfortunately didn't allow for much NPC placement. So yes, you can't go through the walls.
The second point, well, like I said, I had to take some creative liberties somewhere, and unless there's a SMW-styled ice temple graphics out there, it won't be changing anytime soon. You're right about the level design, though. Honestly, that level's going through heavy redesign at the moment.
Lastly, when you say SMB3-styled bushes, do you mean the hills? 'Cause I'm pretty sure those are SMW-styled (I mean, it was in h2643's GFX pack, placed directly in the SMW subsection). Eh, it looks fine to me, anyway.
I'll take most of what you said into consideration. Thank you! I'll need all the feedback I can get!

Wait, do you mean the Lack of NPCS?

Oh, I didn't know the walls in the cave section were actually part of a gimmick. Interesting idea with the moving walls!

Good to hear you're remaking it! And about the graphics, you could just find a SMW or SMB3-style generic castle/temple graphic and recolor it to match the ice-theme. Simpler solution.

I was actually talking about the SMB3 Hill BGO in this screenshot here.
I was suggesting that you could replace the Hills in
that screenshot with the ones in the first screenshot if you wanted them to stay the same. Sorry I wasn't being specific.

No Problem! Criticism can be a developer's best friend. I'll be waiting
impatiently to see what else you have in store for this project.

I'm just gonna drop in here and drop some extra screens while nobody's looking.
All of the above are currently WIP, so some things may not look stellar. I also updated the main post along with this by the way.
I've run out of ideas for the last two levels of World 2 send help.

So uh, I have a quick question: Would all of you like to see a shop system implemented into the game? Probably a pointless question, it was just something that was on my mind.
EDIT: On second thought, maybe a shop system's a bit too much for someone's first episode. Nevermind.

This looks pretty nice!
However, the levels could use a bit more decoration, and the maps are pretty flat.
I think the name could use SMW's as a base in a different way, like "Another (Mario) World".

New screens or something:
I updated the progress rate again. Just one more world to go before I can hand out the demo.
Oh, I forgot to mention as well, the world map has custom music in it. Mostly tracks from VLDC7-8.

Ooh, I really like those custom bosses.
This episode looks like it has polish, and you obviously worked hard on it to make it look good. A bit more decoration and less flat levels would make it even better though.
I'm excited to play this.

Well, since the poll officially ended, the episode's now called An Average Adventure. In fact, since I saw this coming, I already made a banner for it! Check it out:

I know it doesn't look that great, but I'm using it anyway.
I updated the main post again, by the way.
