Story
The princess has gone missing, and intelligence suggests that she has been kidnapped by General Guy, the leader of the Shy Guy Political Party that threatens the Mushroom Kingdom with an atomic bomb. Will the newly hired Agent Mario stop him?

Those are some long map paths.

(the map could be 1/10 the size and probably look 10x better)

Long world map paths are annoying. Make them about 2-5 tiles big at best.
I'm just gonna assume the screenshots you posted in the general screenshot thread belong to this project. In that case, I'd just suggest you to improve your NPC placement. Some enemies seem unfairly placed.
Otherwise they look pretty good so far. Keep it up!
