Didn't I just see this locked due to a lack of screenshots?
Ah well, if you don't provide screens and a download within the next 24 hours this'll be locked. When this thread is locked, you can send the required information to any level judge and it'll get unlocked. Read the rules for further information.

The levels forum is exclusive to finished levels, and finished levels only. Every level posted needs to have a valid downloaf link and at least one screenshot. You can take screenshots in-game by pressing f12. They'll be saved to the screenshots folder from which you can upload them to image-hosting sites like imgur.com or photobucket.com

If you know you're not going to get this level done in the given time I can delete this topic for you and you can post a new once when your level is finished. Else this'll stay locked until you provide screens and a download link.

It's not like everything I said was basically quotes from the level posting rules everyone should read before posting levels. If you didn't do that yet, please do. The sticky topics around the forums tell you how everything works. Before getting more off-topic though: if you want to ask ke something or continue this discussion, send me a PM (below my avatar).

Bowser's Sky Villa - By LukasSMBX - Reviewed by Kep

Does a sky villa by Bowser have what it takes to make it into a good position? You're about to find out.

Generally...

I start off, immediately seeing Hammer Bro. Statues, and then jump right onto the linear platform pathway with chase Koopas and such. One thing I noticed is that there are no cloud scenery pieces in the sky; fairly unrealistic if you ask me. Also, I'd consider including some coins in the midair, and removing the lava at the end of the platform line since it for one clashes with the SMB3 palette and additionally, well, it's unnecessary. But either way, I enter the first gray pipe in the level out of many.

Section two was probably my favorite section, particularly with the spike balls, flawless scenery, however yet you still haven't added any bricks, coin blocks or individual coins which could cause... problems? Anyway, I jump off of the numerous one block platforms avoiding the generation of the spike balls, and continue right. There lies a red Koopa Troopa with a Thwomp and spikes below him, and if you continue on there's a Hammer Bro. and then beyond that there's a ton of spikes, but you're expected to ride off of the Shy Guy (who of which unfortunately clashes yet again with the SMB3 palette since he's from SMB2). I conclude the ride on his awkward head, and then stumble upon an abrupt peril sign with a door to the right of that which leads you to section three.

Section three still has no coins and no bricks, however an introduction to the question blocks finally. Initially, you find a Blue Koopa Troopa and then to the right of him a Hammer Bro. of which I died trying to kill because right when I was hovering above him he threw his damn hammers. Either way, recovering from my temper tantrum of that stupidly idiotic Hammer Bro, I pass two pillars and jump on the next ledge which consists of a mushroom if you're small and a fire flower if you're already big. To the right of that, there's an unfair additional Hammer Bro. but I unacknowledged his approach and jumped on the next platform which consists of a red Koopa Troopa, and jumping to the next platform there's a green Koopa Troopa and then a blue Koopa Troopa guarding the door. I take a moment to do some exploring, and then enter that door since it leads to your advance of section four (that rhymed <3).

Section four was practically pointless to have, despite the mandatory checkpoint location. Otherwise, the music was misplaced (maybe the Room Before Boss music from SMW2: Yoshi's Island would work exquisitely). And if you die after you hit the checkpoint, right when you start from it you're at high risk of getting hit by the Koopa. On the other hand, I hit the sign and it was talking about the midboss, though you didn't apply any power-ups before that which is very unfair.

The mid-boss was self-explanatory, though I wasn't sure how many hits he precisely took (three apparently). I did not struggle much with him, as his attacks were simple, and he's SMB1 Bowser-esque. However, while you were playing the boss, there wasn't any scenery and unfortunately the SMB2-styled Bob-omb clashed with the SMB3 palette. On another note, the miniature pipe should be gray, I think. Anyway, I beat the boss, and continue onward, collecting the fire flower, killing off the two green Koopa Troopas and entering the door.

Section six was another one of those pointless sections, and you're spin-jumping off of Thwomps at the beginning, and killing Koopas at the end... yet that's all.

Section seven was a bit more lengthy, but that's really not saying much. There are many doughnut blocks, and then on them there are green Para-Koopas. Next, you see just a regular Koopa standing on other doughnut blocks, a yellow Koopa on the downward part of the doughnut blocks, and a Hammer Bro. on the upwards part. Heading more to the right, finally you see four coins, and then to the yet right of that there are two Hammer Bros., seven brick blocks each individually containing utter nothingness, and guarding the ends of each of them lie two question blocks each containing fire flowers. Either way, I keep heading rightward, murder two green Koopa Troopas, and enter the door to section eight.

Section eight immediately had a sign saying welcome to my castle blahblahblahblahblahblah. To the right of that though, there is a Hammer Bro. and a Bob-omb to the right of that. However, the Bob-omb's death effect is messed up corresponding to the original SMB3-styled Bob-omb's death. I would fix that if I were you. Yet, navigating rightward again, there are three green Koopa Troopas lined up to each other, and by them there's another Hammer Bro., then a bridge, then a danger sign, then another Hammer Bro. If you jump to the far right, there's a hidden block containing a fire flower and jumping on top of that uncovered hidden block and then jumping again there's another hidden block containing a fire flower.

Exiting the boss door, it's a generic Bowser boss battle... self-explanatory, certainly. No need to go over it. You pulled it off extraordinarily.

Overall Score...
7/10

The checkpoint looks too odd. The background pole is higher than the foreground pole in the screenshot.
