Is there a limit for the amount of Stars a level should have?

Uh, technically not, but I would advise people to not put more than three

It is not permitted to make that star end the game. Your level has to be completable with one of the five vanilla SMBX characters. If you use a character besides Mario, provide character blocks.
Wait... So exits have to be stars or stars cannot be exits.

Exits have to be stars but stars don't have to be exits. By ending the game I mean the SMB3 Bowser Defeated game end. This is to save work during the making of the episode, where I would have to remove the End Game token from every star that has it. A level must have at least one star that ends the level, but can have multiple stars.

Question: If I simply replaced a vanilla BGO with a vanilla tile, would it no longer be considered as a vanilla level?

If you have to add a graphic file, then yes, it's no longer vanilla.

Also, I do have a cool idea to attempt, we'll just see how much motivation I have to work on it. Sign me up anyway.

I meant as in SVC 2015, where each level's name was the user name.

Would I be allowed to place a SMW star that you are required to collect before you exit the level with say, a SMB2 Crystal Orb?

Now that I think about it, were the 2015 SVLC entries released? I seem to remember someone saying that an episode would be made from the entries, but I don't think that episode ever materialized.

I guarantee you, several years from now: Tower of Vanilla Zero.

Also, I wonder: Will there be an episode for this contest, and will it be completely vanilla as well?

We were supposed to get an episode for SCLC 2015, but Mivixion was really lazy and would much rather make kaizo levels.

2k1x is different from SMB1X, though I guess I can see where the confusion came from.
