SMBX 1.4.x Not being allowed here

Right now, SMBX 1.4.x isn't supported at all; in fact, any 1.4.x topic is locked, just because "ewww 1.4.x" I feel like a lot of people would like a thread to discuss it, since the program works fine and has quite a few cool additions. So, why not allow just one thread to discuss it?

Due to it's physics and other issues we do not allow the Chinese build of SMBX referred to as 1.4.x. This has been said so many times. Do you really think we're going to change that decision?

Yes, I honestly hope the staff might actually listen for once. I understand that it doesn't work alongside SMBX, but why not just have one topic for it?

You can post Levels in Casual Levels, however that is the extent of us allowing it. Stop bugging the staff about it because it's not going to change.

Those topics are locked because they're asking questions about it, or are sharing content from it while it's not supported. Maybe everyone needs a neon sign saying this isn't the right forum for it because as PixelPest said, it's said so many times that 1.3.0.1 and 2.0 along with projects like PGE and LunaLua that have proven successful are only allowed. I really don't care though because all of the actually interesting stuff related to 1.4 already comes up in discussion without topics dedicated to it, so nobody is really losing out here.

And due to some sudden advances with 2.0, we might be able to add more NPCs and power-ups in the future, eliminating the need for the Chinese build.

Still, what's the problem with having 1 topic where people can post their questions?
I don't see a single problem with it to be honest.

Too bad. It's probably not going to happen. Be happy that we're even letting you post levels at all in Casual Levels.

So what you're saying is that you have absolutely no reason to not allow it..?

There are multiple reasons that I've listed above. Your arguing is pointless since you know it's not going to change anything.

I mean Joey (or any other staff) could've create a topic and explain why SMBX 1.4 is banned instead of locking/deleting everything related to SMBX 1.4... this just leads to a confusion for new users who don't know the reason.

We don't support the Chinese build of SMBX. It's that simple.

But how does that explain anything?

"WE" Who we? The staff or the whole forum? Why do you guys never think of what the normal users want

Imagine you made 1.4 and people say it hopefully gets eliminated by 2.0, you think this is nice?

I really don't think you'll get anything more out of the other staff members than I've posted here. Also, as I said above, recent events may quite likely allow us to add more power-ups, NPCs, etc. to 2.0, making CSMBX obselete.

Pls stop with 2.0 killing chinese smbx.

I still find it unfair to lock projects that use it.. But i guess we have to obey the staff or else warnings will be held.

Btw warnings aren't a thing any more.

How does it make sense though that 1.4 levels are allowed as long as they're posted in casual, but 1.4 projects aren't, while 2.0 levels aren't allowed because "2.0 is still in beta and unstable" but 2.0 projects are for some reason??? Why not allow both as long as disclaimers are given? This is still a SMBX forum, and while 1.4 may be a very unconventional version of SMBX, it's still SMBX and therefore it has a place on this forum. Supporting 2.0 while not supporting 1.4, then giving both certain privileges in posting makes absolutely 0% sense.

We don't consider the Chinese build of SMBX a version of SMBX. It makes sense that 2.0 projects are allowed while levels are currently not. (I've actually never seen a 2.0 level topic locked/deleted any way.) I think the assumption made is that Projects are a longer endeavor, so by the time they're finished a more stable version will have been released.

Well then, how come joey didn't even let me post a topic for it in the video games forum? It's still a video game, but he just locked it after I made it.
