The Ancient Cave
Design & Gameplay: Very Good
+ This level has good design and gameplay. It has a good fun factor and some replay value, even if there are some questionable things. The NPC placement is good in the level, I didn't question it in any spots, neither the enemy variety. The coin placement is relatively good, true it could've been a bit better maybe. The level's difficulty is relatively good, it fits well for a desert.
- One of the stars was literally in your path. (the one behind a quicksandfall) I also questioned the "secret" 1-up placements, which were mostly invisible blocks next to coin and powerup '?' blocks.
Atmosphere & Visuals: Great
+ The level was graphically appealing. The music fits the level very well in my opinion. The level had a decent amount of decoration as I noticed, it was neither spammy nor bland. I didn't find any cutoffs and broken death effects. Even if it had some style mixing (which was a bit pointless), it didn't clash either. (I'm talking about the smb1 1-up shroom)
Score: 7.5/10
A nice ruinous desert cave level without any major flaws excluding the weird placement of "secrets"
