It was supposed to be a SMB1 styled SMB3 wood but it doesn't really looks like wood. Well, at least I have a "new" tileset.

Well I just started working on a new tileset. It was originally going to be a grassland tileset, but I decided to change it into a forest tileset:

Wow, that's really well done, PROX! Any chance you have some 2x1 slopes planned or made yet? If so, then I would definitely consider using it.

I've been asked multiple times but sure I guess I'll do it.
EDIT: It's been done now.

They're meant to be ports of graphics from Super Mario Maker. The second one still needs a bit of shading, though it still looks good.

I'd say the first one needs more shading as well.

The first one is from the Super Mario Bros. style, so it's meant to look like that.

Doesn't change the fact the right one is the only one with good and enough shading.

For now I'm just doing plain rips of the tiles (I'll leave gamermakerguy of MFGG to rip the main sprites).
Also, update. Now includes the SMB1-styled Airship and Ghost House tiles. I need to do the other ghost house tile, which I have NO clue on what it is. And thanks to Polar Koala for the unedited mushroom platform.

So you just... copied it? I don't get it. What is made by you and for what do you credit Mario Silva?

Here's a preview of something I'm working on (SMB3 styled). Pink birthday candle, strawberry, kiwi, and tileset. All mine.
What needs to change?

I know how to make pixel art, so what specifically are your problems? Do you think the outlines should be color or black, for instance?
Here, this should make you happier:

Here, this should make you happier:
The outline itself is sloppily done, the candle is pillowshaded (and the shading is barely noticeable), the shading on the Strawberry WOULD be good if the shape was good, I can't make out what the item to the right is, none of this is SMB3 styled.
^^ my problems. This shows that you didn't pay attention to my link, as it covered the important flaws and how to avoid them.

Ok. Those are fair points. The candle IS pillowshaded, but that's because it's a cylinder and I pillowshade before finalizing the shading. The strawberry is a bit lopsided but that's on purpose. And now that you mention it, the outline IS sloppily done. Thanks for your help!
