"Zero Rating"

In retaliation to Net Neutrality, cable has found a new loophole: giving unlimited bandwidth to sites that the cable companies prefer. All other sites are subject to a cap, which could be set really low, possibly making it worse than the original attacks on Net Neutrality.
This practice has recently been struck down in India, and I'm hopeful that other countries follow suit.

Well, that's extremely dumb, and not at all following in the spirit of net neutrality. But I suppose we already understood that, considering that this is being called a loophole. So, I guess I can only say "cable companies suck". But everybody's already said that.

A bill straight out of hell has just been forwarded to the House, referred to as the "No Rate Regulation of Broadband Internet Access Act" (shortened to H.R. 2666).
