Overgrown Castle

Just a normal level that I basically made out of boredom.

Unoffical Review Of Overgrown Castle by Quantix

This level wasn't really that fun to play, it was pretty boring at the beginning of the level since all you did bascially was just jump onto enemies and nothing else. The second half was ok, but some of the parts where you needed to get an extra P-balloon were kind of pointless, the graphics were decent. And the remix was just ok. The boss was really not that good since the only difference was that there's ninjis that you need to jump on. And you also don't really give the player enough power-ups either. So overall, i'd say this level isn't trash, but still just average.

I thought the castle tileset was made by zlakergirl357 and Aeon (Eternity)....

To be honest, I kind of designed it as a sort of World 1 castle, so I had to make it simple. That and again, I was bored. I appreciate the criticism though! Thanks!

Making things easy doesn't equal making things simpler.

If you want a good example look at world 1-C from NSMBWII. That level is not that hard but has a lot of cool things about it.
Judging from the screenshots the level looks pretty flat and designed more like a cave level than a castle level.

Review of Overgrown Castle

Well, as MosaicMario said in his review, I have a mixed feelings about this level.

The level did had some nice graphics and some music choice. The level has a World 1 difficulty and I don't see it any wrong. However, because of the difficulty, I didn't find this level appealing much. The level design is boring and flat for the most part, there is a section with the P-ballon, but it isn't appealing either, it should be somehow creative, it also feels cluttered in some areas, especally the last part before the boss battle. Also the level should have more emenies, since sections looked empty while having a small amount of them. No idea why blue coins are randomly placed, they should be placed neatly or removed. The boss battle is kinda meh, it's just Boom Boom in black with some ninjis coming out from the pipe.

Anyway, there's also some errors:
- Grinder gets off the track.
- If you're gonna add a block containing mushrrom here, you should add a P-Balloon here, otherwise the player will jump back down to get the ballon AND most likely get hit by spikes.

Overall, a level that isn't enjoyable much. 4/10.
