I could release it around christmas. that makes it feel a bit like a christmas gift-release. That should be menagable I think.
Well then, look forward to a little christmas gift from Santa Sedna. xD

Been a bit since we heard of this project; how would progress be going?

These graphics are amazing! And they bring me certain memories. The graphics for World Map have not been converted to PGE, is there any chance that they will be converted in the future? :|

For me it doesn't work, when I move the files to the lvl folder they don't appear in the SMBX2 or appear messy. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong... ?

i think, if i recall correctly, in order to have custom world map graphics, you need to have a folder (name it whatever you like), and inside that folder have the world map graphics AND the world map file. if youve done that then your problem is very strange...

No it’s not dead? If you would’ve looked at his profile you can see he hasn’t been online since the end of September. Not to mention that SED probably has a lot of stuff to take care off in real life. Be patient.

Lol, talking about Sednaiur, he never told us what he will do with Lowsers Conquest, if ever.

I'm still here wondering when, if ever, the update will be released. It's been a year since it was last shown off.

Yes, with me you need to expect everything. ^^ As you can see, even an update after around 8 years.
Also, thank you very much for your interest in my work. I am very happy to notice that.

I really hope that this update fits your likes and needs. :-)

Also, I just added 10 more screenshots to the toppost. Those show the new worldmap stuff and the desert tileset aswell as expanded cactus tiles - a request/suggestion that Silver Deoxys made around 7 years ago. No, I do not forget easily. xD

Re: SMB2 expanded GFX-Pack v8.1 And a bugfix already!

Postby Sednaiur » Sun Jan 01, 2023 2:55 pm

I just updated the toppost with an updated download link to v8.1 but here is the link for convenience-sake:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wqkxihjwdhxrj ... r.rar?dl=0
It fixed many small issues with unused graphics and removes even a whole folder that was left from the old version 7 of the pack.
I also made most NPCs harmless to carry around, so they do not kill or collide with other NPCs while being helt. This is most notable on any buried power-ups and coins or exit-NPCs.

When I saw this, I tought the download link for the GFX pack was fixed, but update it was crazy. I will summarize what I was going to write in a single word: Excellent. My favourite tilesets are the underwater one and the ice temple one. For the next update I would like to see tree tops, a jungle temple tileset (something like a recolored desert temple, with moss and creepers), and afternoon backgrounds. Also some night backgrounds have colors that don't fit very well, so I would recommend you to use some cold colors. Take your time on doing what you think is right :)

Even as someone who exclusively uses 38a, and therefore would get little use out of this, this is incredible to see! That's about all I can really say, but great job!
