OH GOSH NO. Clash, clash everywhere.
Photos/photo-like backgrounds do not go well with 16-bit graphics.
And that boss in the last screenshot... what the hell? Did you invert its colours or something?
This looks like something that crawled out of Rollii's rear end.

Hopefully, you won't have the same opinion when it comes to actually playing the game. I personally think it looks fine though with the photo background. It's just opinions, but make sure you actually play it before you form one.

Screenshots look somewhat bad. I like boss rushes though so I'll give it a try.
Edit 1: I'm on the Mr. L level. Found some funny glitches with walls.

I enjoyed playing it. The boss fights are diverse, not the typical wart fights where you simply outrange him and wait in a safe spot for the right moment to attack that I saw in many boss rushes. You mixed in different gameplay elements like the elevator for the Bowser fight and also modified projectile speeds to create a different feeling to overused bosses. it also has some small normal level passages within the main hub.
It doesn't always feel right. For example In the fight with the 4 moving platformts where you have to throw eggs up to the wart like boss, it can be a little annoying to wait for the right timing. I am not a fan of having safe spots where you can wait for the right moment. it takes the dynamic out of a fight. And as others pointed out, the realistic background graphics don't go very well with the more simplitstic mario graphic elements.
Bui overall it still felt nice.
Edit: About the last screenshot and the inverted colors: That's how he looks like after getting hit, the screenshot was just taken at a bad moment.

Glad you enjoyed it though. I really want to push the limits when it comes to gameplay, it makes my happy when some one enjoys my style of gameplay.

Yeah, I have to admit, I'm not really good when it comes to determining whether or not the screen looks good or not. As long as the room doesn't feel too empty or cramped, I'll call it good. Not sure why, but it's just my style. Hope you'll enjoy the gameplay though.

I like the backgrounds. Where's the one in the 2nd screen from?

When I was thinking of challenges when it comes to using vanilla bosses, I didn't think you'd take it like this.
Thus some of your screens seem to contain clash allover the place.

Glad you like like the backgrounds!
The second one is from RedYoshi's Graphics Pack. I think it was a custom made background.

Yeah, I wanted to find a unique way to fight most of the bosses. I'd say my more creative bosses tend to look less appealing because of the clash. And my weaker bosses (eg Mr. L) tend to have a more fitting scenery. Not sure why.

Dear god, why did you invert Fawful's colors?
Also, that one city background doesn't fit at all with the SMB3 tileset.

He didn't invert them. That's how it looks when he's hit...

I think it would look better if you'd maintain the style of each arena/stage.
The backgrounds in the first and fourth screen doesn't apply too good, and the rest is okay. (i haven't played this but i'll expect a good battle once I download SMBX again.)

Clash everywhere. The ripped city background doesn't fit at all with the 16 bit. The library, gosh, bit of a mayham as well as the torches in the air fit horribly with the section theme. Interesting bosses I must add tho. Everything else is okay, except maybe the city and library set out. but I still think this needs a bit of work still, but not too bad.

I like how you didn't talk at all about this episode's gameplay.

Um, thanks for the review for the screenshots? I'm more interested in a full review though...

It is THAT hard to download a game and review it?
It always possible an episode is better than what it's shown on the screenshots.
