this level is an example of what a smb1 desert level might look like
given that it is short , I included some ideas for some pyramid layouts.
here is a screenshot of the level

Just from the screenshot; the background looks really bad, especially the clouds, plus pyramids aren't piles of sand they are blocks. The clouds are strikingly flat and the shading is terrible. I also wouldn't recommend making the block pyramids out of pipes.

ok, the clouds were supposed to be wispy and thin , and the pipes were used because I wanted to stick to original smb1 limits , sorry for the shading you know how limited nes pallete is , sorry , how could I improve

First of all, you're already moving away from the original SMB1 limits with a desert theme so why not go farther away? For the background, the clouds don't even have the shape of clouds. They kind of look like bumpy magic carpets. You don't just throw a random colour in the middle of the clouds. You need to take a grayish colour and go all the way inside the cloud just inside the outline or don't do anything at all. The pyramid in the background should look a little less like a haphazard pile of sand; try making it look like it's made of blocks. The pipes could be exchanged for a rectangular block, which would look much better with the correct shading as well.

Than I'd recommend you make the shape more natural and flowing. It's too triangular.

This level was short and easy. There was only 3 enemy NPC in the level. There was no coins except the beginning and the end.
For example, in this area you could add a few koopas and some coins.

I made a video/review of this (not the official one, though):

8-bit desert review

Design & Gameplay: Very bad
- This level was bad for several reasons. There were only 3 enemies throughout the entire level. The level was also shorter than necessary. (true, considering its quality it's rather lucky to have a short length) There is coin spam in the hallway of the "pyramid" but the level lacks of coins at other places. Also, there are two powerups about 10-15 seconds away from each other. Considering the length, the lack of NPCs and the not so wide pits, the level is way too easy to play and it's also quite boring. I give you some points for not being broken in gameplay, though.

Atmosphere & Visuals: Very bad
- I found a lot of visual flaws in the level too:
- The broken brick effect is broken, it's still 16-bit
- The mask of the coin is broken
- The music doesn't fit the level very well, since the level is 8-bit but the music is still 16-bit
- The level is really bland
- The background has a cutoff in the sand

Score: 1.75/10
A relatively unenjoyable level with a lot of flaws and bland design
