8-bit desert review
Design & Gameplay: Very bad
- This level was bad for several reasons. There were only 3 enemies throughout the entire level. The level was also shorter than necessary. (true, considering its quality it's rather lucky to have a short length) There is coin spam in the hallway of the "pyramid" but the level lacks of coins at other places. Also, there are two powerups about 10-15 seconds away from each other. Considering the length, the lack of NPCs and the not so wide pits, the level is way too easy to play and it's also quite boring. I give you some points for not being broken
in gameplay, though.
Atmosphere & Visuals: Very bad
- I found a lot of visual flaws in the level too:
- The broken brick effect is broken, it's still 16-bit
- The mask of the coin is broken
- The music doesn't fit the level very well, since the level is 8-bit but the music is still 16-bit
- The level is really bland
- The background has a cutoff in the sand
Score: 1.75/10
A relatively unenjoyable level with a lot of flaws and bland design
