I want to put a goomba in a yoshi egg (which I can do.) but also put that in a mystery block.

So far I've seen no way to do it.
Is there are way to do this?

Make a new layer and 2 events for that mechanic. One event makes the layer appear but after like 1,7 seconds the layer will disappear again since you want to put the egg with a goomba as a generator. That's the only way to do that. The generator can be 0,3 or something...

Alright, I'm clearly too new to SMBX, because I have no idea how to do that.

Read this guide to layer and event:

To put a goomba in an egg inside a '?' block:

1. First make a new event. I'll call this event 'egg'.
2. Then place a '?' block with one coin, and set the hit event to 'egg'.
3. Then make a new layer. I'll call this event 'goomba'.
4. Then place the goomba inside the egg above the '?' block, but make sure it's in the 'goomba' layer.
5. Then set the 'egg' event to show the 'goomba' layer in the event menu.
6. Then inside the layer menu, uncheck the box for the 'goomba' layer to hide the layer.

If you did everything correctly, you should get something like this:

You could also put an invisible cheep-cheep with score=0 and nohurt=1 in the box so you wouldn't get a coin.
