2k15 Christmas Mini - Sinem Mayhem - QuickPatch2!

But there were none.


So Horikawa heads out to find the lost Emral and our dear Tinkerbell heads out to find the presents!

A super totally-not-rushed episode that only took me like two weeks and several sleepless nights to complete!!

In coding, one tiny mistake can screw everything up. Here's a good example. I forgot one "then" in line 275 of the code in level 3 and now the entire level is broken.
Please extract this QuickPatch into your episode folder. That will fix it.

Your Lua should be up to date to play the episode, though 2.0 Beta should work.

1.GeneralPatch Update:

So this is the first update. Probably also the last because there really isn't a lot to fix (well I shouldn't say that before bossedit has played the episode on camera lmao)

But yeah, if you had the episode before this patch, use the link below to update. Just extract it into the folder of the episode and you're good to go. This also automatically integrates inputs.lua into the episode so it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Patch Notes:

- 4 people that were late to the party now appear in the hub when enough presents are collected
- Sinem can't move during cutscenes now
- the projectiles of the 4th and 5th boss now get removed when the bosses are killed
- inputs.lua is now integrated into the episode and will not need to be downloaded seperately
- replaced Spinda's dialogue card with the high quality card that is used in the shop
- fixed some visual errors regarding the first level
- fixed a bug where when you would collect two coins in the same frame, only one of them would be added to the counter
- fixed a bug where when you would collect two coins in the same frame while having 999998 coins, the coin counter would jump to 100000
- fixed a bug where when you would collect a coin while talking to the Dr. Emral vending machine in the fifth level, the coin counter would go up endlessly as long as you stayed in the message window
- fixed a bug where Sinem's powerup state wouldn't be displayed correctly
- fixed a bug where the first message of the shop wouldn't be displayed correctly
- fixed death effect of the first boss
- made the levels actually playable
- now Level 3 works too!!
- removed Herobrine

Oh boy i just realized it even says Sinem also on the hud.

Gonna play this episode until i die.

Using 2.0 Beta Launcher has an error and no Lua stuff appears. I would like to play it though!

I tried to play this episode with SMBX 2.0 and it's not playable. Just after a few seconds when I select the episode, this error message appears:

For some reason it can't find that LunaLua API. Then after I closed the error window, I, for some reason, was put here:

Alright, yeah, you guys need inputs.lua to play the episode, which is for WHATEVER reason not included in the 2.0 Beta OR the latest Lua build.

The episode works perfectly now, thank you! Also wow I really like the dialogs and cutscenes you put here, and pretty much everything about this episode.

Episode works in SMBX 2.0 fine now but not in SMBX 1.3.0.2 even if I replaced that file into it so... SMBX 2.0 only for now, at least on my side. I'm of course gonna play it especially since it's 26th of December for now so it's best to do this as soon as possible so we don't miss out the last Christmas day in this year. =P

This is excellent, much better than 2k14's Christmas episode!
I like how most of the stuff used between Christmas 2k14 to Halloween 2k15 was pretty much the main things that were there (It's like a farewell goodbye to 2k15).
The changing music, cutscenes (that I'm surprised that I wasn't the only one to think of this) and the way you have to buy the keys to access the bosses are probably the best gimmicks done with LunaLua.
It was also very funny in a good way too (especially with the FoS boss when he mentions about you SMB3 recoloring the level and trying to destroy you) :lol: .
But I did notice tree things:

1.Why does it say that the custom music in the Horikawa stage is antasma.mp3 when the music file isn't in the game?

2.If you throw 20 bombs at FoS, his death effect isn't change so obviously he turns into Bowser.

3.When Nien says "RIP" , is it supposed to stay there forever or is it supposed to go away after a few?

Anyways, great job on this episode, and on the Lunalua gimmicks too.

Marina Soft Inc. has surprised even Ubisoft with his day 1 patches.
Also, why can't I play it with 1.3.0.2 even with the inputs.lua and the patch?

Because 2.0 comes with some other lua stuff that is made use off but I don't know where exactly the problem lies in the code, so I can't really fix it.

SPEAKING OF FIXING STUFF

Spinda forgot a ) in the code he sent me, which is used by every level, so if you download the patch it will probably make your lua not work anymore at all in the episode. He's working on a fix at the moment, but do not download the current patch or download. Sorry to those who already did, we're aware of the problem and we're fixing it.
