"Off the coast of Ricco Harbour sits a lonely, little island called Penne Island. After defeating Bowser once again at the peak of Corona Mountain, Mario and friends decided to take their long-overdue vacation on Penne Island. But things aren't what they seem...
The princess has suddenly vanished once again upon arrival to the island. When the motley crew try to head back for help, the ship has already left the dock. The crews only direction now is to delve deep into the heart of the island in search of their dear friend.
Super Mario Island is a
looong hiatused project of mine that has been moved to the SMBX engine. Originating back to early 2014, Super Mario Island was originally meant to be a full 8 worlds; however this project is more focused on level quality than quantity, so there are are not going to be an enormous amount of levels (only about 15 this time).
This wouldn't be much of a thread without screenshots, would it?
Bear in mind a lot of the level designs have not been completed yet as it's waiting for the full release of SMBX 2.0.

There is much,
much more to come as more levels are completed, and I can assure you; you won't be disappointed with the end product!
Until the next update;
have a great vacation!

Y U STILZ MAH PROJEKT NEIM?????
Love the logo, it looks awesome as fuck. Story-wise this project sounds pretty standard for the most part, but I suppose that's how mario games should be, SMBX projects may not always have the same boring plot, but I believe it wouldn't hurt if they had. As for the design, it really reminds me of TI2. When it comes to looks it looks pretty vanilla-ish, but who knows, maybe it'd be fun to play.

I like the style, clever use of the airship pieces there!
Also Natsu, your demo's link is broken

That's because I formatted my computer which had DropBox installed, and therefore all files were deleted.

Wow this looks really cool, you've used the "vanilla style" quite well! And the logo is honestly one of the best I've ever seen! Good luck on finishing this project, I can guarantee you'll have some excited people eagerly waiting to play this

This looks really nice! However, I really don't like it when people mix different styles of the same thing (like the SMB3 and SMW pipes you're using in the second screen).

And so the island is revealed!

This is Penne Island; a comfy little island off the coast of Ricco Harbour.
Expect this to be the shape of the island, but also expect it to change slightly here and there.
That's all for this update, until then,
have a great vacation!

Whoa, that's amazing! I can definitely see great potential here. I'm a little curious about what appears to be a volcano in the island's centre...
