Lost Levels - Full Episode

Hey all! New to the forum here. Found this while searching Mario All Stars editors and this is like the greatest thing ever!

Below I have my very first entire episode I made, it started off just testing and getting used to the editor. I discovered PGE about 1/4 of the way through so the levels do get a little more complex as this episode goes on, but it's pretty simple and straightforward.

I wanted to start off with Mario 1 style levels, so this is mostly Mario 1 with a few Mario 3 elements. The map isn't anything special and I couldn't get the disable world map to work. Plus if you have moving platforms in a level and you die and auto restart the level without going to the map the platforms stop moving, so possible bug?

Anyway here's info + screenshots about the episode:

LOST LEVELS
-Full Game with 8 worlds and 4 levels per world!
-Mario 1 style with one way scroll.
-Tons of hidden blocks, secrets, and more!

I don't expect this game to win any awards, be featured, or anything, but I think if you enjoyed the Lost Levels in Mario All Stars, you'll enjoy these levels. Most importantly I'd like feedback on what you thought, how far you got in the game, etc.

Try using F12 to take screenshots so that they're less blurry and larger.

Did you try clicking on one of them... also they don't look blurry to me.

Hey! Your SMBX Episode was nice for having a nice SMB feel to these levels but with different type of graphics and tiles used like from other Mario themes such as SMB3 for example but it was alright for your earlier creations since at least it was fully playable. Make sure you don't create such obvious cutoffs for example on the world map because between water and land there's supposed to be border tiles between land and water. I don't know why you didn't decide to use them because without them it looks not too good since it creates cutoff.

I wish you good luck on your future creations of SMBX as of what you're making.

Thanks! One of my other episodes in the works called Even MORE Lost Levels has a MUCH better looking map with warps to different "worlds" once a castle is complete. It took me a little bit to realize how the coastline tiles are used as they were confusing me for some reason lol. Especially the SMB World ones. I may download a GFX pack with more Mario 3 map tiles as I've always liked that map style better anyway.

It's nice to see a player made a episode without custom graphics, very advanced levels, but fun, just as it was at the beginning of SMBX!
I saw the gameplay of @bossedit8 and I will give one chance for this episode =D

Thanks! All of my episodes + levels I am making are keeping to the original graphics. I think the custom graphic episodes are neat but it's just my personal preference to make levels keeping with the original stuff, since I grew up with Mario All Stars, I've been dreaming of making my own levels + game using the SNES graphics and this is like a dream come true!

I got a sequel to this episode in the works called Even More Lost Levels with better looking overworld maps, and true Mario 1 style play with no reserve powerup, spinjump, and picking up turtles. I never knew you could change that type of stuff with Luna Lua until I played another person's episode that had it all in there.

And? The times were it was forbidden to mix styles are over long ago.

Not everything has to be consistently be 1 game style.

The levels is not he bests but they are good

But the map is bad because it uses the same music
