I will accept level designers if you wish, but for them, i ask that you use the same tilesets and use a map of the level for reference (like from vgmaps) as i am making a block by block remake (with some changes necessary of course). PM me for more info.

I'm interested in contributing. What requirements are there aside from making it block for block?

It depends on what levels you want to make. I already have some npcs and tilesets i prefer were used, but i don't have all of them, like the desert set. So really only at very least use the same npcs, ? blocks, and bricks, most of which can be found in the community graphics pack. PM me for more info.

Seens like a big project.
Did you want to make new levels or a new world?

Hmm, I was never really keen on remake levels, but I could be a beta tester if you'd like. NSMB is one of my favourite DS games, and it'll be great to play it again, since I kinda broke my DS and my PC is just horrible with emulators. ^^'

Same here, I'd be very interested in beta-testing this

I know that feeling. Thats actually the main reason for me doing this. Im not taking beta testers now, but I will release a demo after I finish world 1.

The level with the mushrooms could use more decorations. Other than than that, this looks pretty sweet

This is really cool. I was working on something like this when I was 10, but never finished it. It probably would have turned out absolutely terrible since I had no experience with SMBX at the time. Good luck!

NSMB was my first mario game, and I would be happy to recreate it here.
