My custom SMBX.exe (1.3.0.0X) Updated download-link

This is my custom hacked SMBX.exe that got a lot of it's original hardcoded graphics edited to a more HD-like look.
It serves no other purpose than giving the HUD, the fonts, and some other elements a fresh and new look.
Some people suggested to me to upload it, so I thought to myself "why not".
But first, some screenshots of the edited graphics:

Which hardcoded graphics got edited:
-All the HUD-graphics like the item-boxes of Mario and Luigi, the heart containers of Toad Peach and Link, the score, Links rupee-, key-, and bomb-symbols, the coin-, 1-up-, and star-symbols.
-All the fonts in SMBX like the main menu-font, the talk NPCs-font, or the worldmap levelname-font.
-All the 2-player messages like "Mario", "Luigi", "Toad", "Peach", "Link", "VS", "Wins".
-Other special graphics like the "Super Mario Bros. X"-logo in the main menu, the worldmap-background, the talk NPC's textboxes, the splash screen, the loading screens, and many minor things

What else got edited:
-The "intro"-level of SMBX got edited (there are no NPCs or characters playing in the background).
----nothing else got edited----

What else could I edit:
-I could alter the cheatcodes used in SMBX (save for the "hidden cheatcode") so one couldn't use specific or any cheats.
-I could edit the graphics of the SMBX-editor like the block-, NPC-, or BGO-buttons
-I could edit hardcoded NPCs like the clown car, Yoshies tongue, the different boots, or some other things (it wouldn't make much sense, though ^^)

Below is the download-link:(works again
http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=023 ... 6725298112

How to install it:
-take the .exe and replace your SMBX.exe with it (if you like to keep your already existing SMBX.exe, make a backup of it first)
-take the "intro".LVL-file, the "intro"-folder and the "Main Menu"-mp3 and place it where you also place the .exe (if you like to keep your already existing "intro".LVL-file, make a backup of it first)

Please note that this .exe got made with version 1.3.0.0 of SMBX, so none of the changes of version 1.3.0.1 are contained in this version

I like to thank "Darkchao"/"DarkshadeX" for sharing his knowledge about hacking the .exe, in his nice SMBX.exe hex editing-tutorial that he posted some years ago on NSMBX.
His tutorial helped me to make all my edits for this version. :-)

If you have any suggestions or if you find anything like a bug, please feel free to tell me here. Thank you.

Wait, if this exe is made with resources of SMBX 1.3, then how does it show the page that has been added only in 1.3.0.1? Talking about this one:

Or am I not getting something again..? Image
Anyway, this is some great stuff. I'll definitely download this and try to play with these new graphics Image
and wow that main menu music is kick ass

I edited the splash screen myself, so it shows the supermariobrosx-page. All those "the requested webpage cannot be found"-messages were getting really annoying to me ^^.I got no better idea for what to do with it anyways. :-P
Also, thank you for your words - yes the music used in the main menu is from the game "Gex" (I don't remember which one of the installments) which feature some nice tracks. I never played the game but I accidently found out about it's tracks on Youtube.

Finally you posted this! All what I can say is that you did a great job! I see the lot of effort you've put here and the HD style really caught my attention!
I must say I'm a bit sad because you didn't make a version for SMBX LunaLua, I think this hacked exe will not work for the people who use this version like me, however you already did a great job here! I think you deserve a break. I'd like to make a hacked exe for SMBX LunaLua by myself using your graphics, i.e moving them to the other exe if this okay with you (or do you plan make a version for SMBX 1.3.0.2?)

I am sorry for bumping this, but when I moved all of the graphics from this to SMBX 2.0's beta, it worked just fine until I tried to click on "Legacy Editor" otherwise, it worked fine.

When SMBX 2.0 gets into it's finished state (out of beta-phase) I then will probably make more edits to that one too, even though someone may cry like a little baby about it again. xD
But who knows when this time will come, since there seems a lot of work left for this.

When SMBX 2.0 is released you probably won't have to make edits to it - you'll just be able to drop a few files into an episode folder and everything will get replaced.

That is what happened. I believe others were complaining to me about that.

The people that told me said the same thing, or it would be easoer to replace hardcoded graphics any way...

Download link doesn't work x.x It says it was either deleted by you or ran out of storage time. Any chance you can put it back up?

Yer welcome~ You too for renewing the link! But why not put it somewhere else that doesn't have a time limit?
