Mr. Boring's Boss Rush

Hello everyone, I would like to present to you all a boss rush level I made:

A few things to note:
- LunaLua and LunaDLL are NOT required, though they can be used. I tested the level with and without it.
There is only ONE custom graphic that comes with the level.
The custom graphic replaces one of the Super Mario World bush and is the logo for the level.
NONE of the bosses are custom.
Here is the download link:

Thank you all for trying out this level if you did or at least take the time to look at this post.
As always, I don't want to make bad levels so please let me know what I should improve on.[/center]

I see they call you Mr Boring for a reason. This was just a boring, lame Boss Rush with the regular old bosses.

What about the mario playable in the screens?
Also there isn't really much to say. The rooms look boring and flat. All the fights are really easy also, there is no challenge that makes the fight difficult or intresting. All you get here are the standard normal fights.

Not much strategy beyond "Get hammer, nuke everything.". Brings nothing new to the table either.
Try again please.

The playable Mario doesn't come with the level either. I replaced the original Super Mario Bros 3 Mario graphics in the game with those.

Jeez quit avoiding everything everyone is saying.
If you make a boss rush then you should use custom bosses.
People don't want to fight the same old bosses over and over.

That's true. From the screenshots alone I don't know if I'd have a ton to say. I mean there's nothing that looks very remarkable. ~

What do you guys want me to do?
Do you want me to make an entire episode out of it, with every level custom custom bosses related to the game theme of each level?
Should I get rid of the sections in between bosses and move some items to the boss rooms?
PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!!

I really don't think anyone was rude and no one called you an idiot, although I think EpicMarioBros's jab at you was highly unnecessary.
A suggestion I could offer up is to play levels from The Best and Pretty Good boards, maybe take some inspiration and be more creative in your level designs to make it more interesting. Additionally you have the option of custom graphics. ~

First off somebody WAS rude.
Nobody else was though.
Due to embarrassment of acting like an Autistic(which I really am) I edited that response and deleted what is mentioned in that quote.

Should I make it an episode out of it, though, with different levels that have different game themes in each level?
Should I have original AND custom bosses or just custom bosses?

I never said you should. Do that if you wish. Making an episode takes commitment to actually do all the work it would require, so I'm not going to say yes to that. Only do it if you want to.
Also what I mean is the design is uninspired. Everything is so average I really have little to say otherwise. I would recommend playing a couple other levels, from like "The Best" or "Pretty Good" boards, and see what they do. Besides that I could say you should make boss rooms not only look interesting, but I assume you're trying to make this challenging too(?) so make the level design reflect that. Add some challenge to things and take advantage of larger areas with more to do. ~

The thing is, somebody's already done all of these already and most of them would be just vanilla bosses or re-skins. I'd maybe choose one or two of the ones I bolded and do those, but no one is really interested in playing the same old every-user's-first-project-that-varies-in-badness-and-boringness; the boss rush. If you want to learn how to create custom bosses with layers and events, TOBX's Tier bosses and Darkonious Mavakar's M&L's Delightful Adventure have really could examples of custom bosses. Try doing your own thing and not just copying what almost every other user has done already. There's also many tutorials on how to create custom boss battles. I'm not saying go out and learn how to make your own graphics and create these exquisite battles of 50 events, I'm saying that instead just placing a big Bowser in a room and saying, ta da, I'm done! Try to add something that makes it different. This could be a moving floor, some additional enemies that spawn to make your life harder (but not spam you) or go as far as what Eden did with Bowser Run. (It's a level in the Best, you should check it out.) I would immediately ditch throwing Iggy, Morton, Big Boo, and Morton battles in unless you're planning on doing something real special with them; people have had enough of battles with a simple re-skin in another boring room. Instead, take the Magikoopa battle, and learn some layers and events and try to model NSMBWII world 8 tower battle, etc. with it instead of just using a re-skin. This will make your boss rush a lot more interesting and enjoyable to play while not going too advanced quickly. Although if I was you, I'd avoid wasting time on a boss rush completely. Unless they're really good, few people play them and they don't improve your level making skills unless you do some really special stuff with them. Good luck, whatever decision you make.

I lost interest in this project... I feel like it would be too hard to make custom bosses.

Well it takes work to make something good so if you aren't willing to work then you'll never make anything good.
