Mario Kart Wii introduced a new mode for the Mario Kart series, entitled "Tournament Mode" (also known as Competition mode in the European version). Tournament Mode was somewhat similar to Mission Mode from Mario Kart DS. Tournaments could be played on the Mario Kart Channel, as long as the Mario Kart Wii disc was in the Wii. Tournaments required an Internet connection, and WiiConnect24 to be turned on before they can be played. After a while, a tournament was retired to make room for a new one. However, the rankings of older tournaments could still be viewed on the rankings table. The tournaments began in May 2008, and continued even after all WiiConnect24 services were discontinued on June 28, 2013. The tournament service itself was later discontinued on May 20, 2014, the date on which the Nintendo WFC servers shut down.

The varieties of tournaments include:

* VS Race - A standard VS race; however, race courses were somewhat altered.
* Time Trial - A standard Time Trial; however, race courses were somewhat altered.
* Numbered Gates - The player had to drive through ordered gates as fast as possible.
* Coin Collecting - The player had to collect the coins on the stage as fast as possible.
* Boss Battle - The player had to fight against a special boss.

In my opinion two DLC packs are enough, however if they will really make a 3rd (and even 4th one), I wouldn't mind them :}

But if, please no more USELESS powered-up version of characters (Pink Gold Peach, Tanooki Mario, Dry Bowser. Metal Mario saved from this because... He is Metal Mario).

Yeah I'd be down for Vanilla Lake as well. I'm pretty surprised that it hasn't been adapted at all yet, unlike all of the other SNES track themes.

I don't really expect another DLC pack though.

Idk but why do you say if they even appears in game? Did you use a translator for that?

Metal Mario isn't saved from this ge's just another reskin of Mario.

They should have done it like they did in Smash.

Because we have Metal Mario/B-Dasher/(Red) Hot Monster/Peach Parasol.

But if I was serious, I want SNES Bowser's Castle (I don't care which one). Come on, if the music's really badass for the SNES, it would be a pleasure to hear it in all its remastered glory. I also want Boo back as an item. It was the only stealing item in the entire series and they removed it! Another DLC wish is Dry Bones.

Also, no more reskins!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I want REAL battle stages, not preexisting tracks made into battle stages.

Captain Falcon. I mean, we have two F-Zero stages, the Blue Falcon, yet not F-Zero's main character. Seriously Nintendo!

I also think Mario Kart 8 x Metroid would be pretty neat. Don't really care about Splatoon all that much.

Also characters that aren't related to Mario and Peach would be nice. I mean, seriously, there are no Vanilla Lakes since Super Circuit, and we already have 4 Marios and 4 Peaches (Normal, Baby, Metal/Pink Gold, and Tanooki/Cat). Pink Gold Peach was a bad idea anyways.

About the Rainbow Roads. Ah, Rainbow Roads. THE SNES ONE. I used to like SNES Rainbow Road, when reached in the MK7 it was like a new track. When reached Mario Kart 8 again in a DLC, well, just felt old again. What about the DS Rainbow Road? Is my personal favorite.

Now about a bit off-topic question, did you notice that Mario Kart 8 graphics are better than ever Mario game already made? Like, this could be in a Adventure Game, imagine be on a adventure in Thwomp Ruins, explore the Twisted Mansion and play in all games of Water Park? It's unfair all this good work get credited in a race game...

I want to have normal battle stages.

-4 new
and
-4 retro

This retro stages I want to have:
-SNES Battlestage 3
-N64 Double Fort
-GCN Pixel Mario
-WII Funkey Stadium

But all in HD!

I'd like to have a Kirby or Starfox stage. This may be weird, but we already have a Hyrule Castle and an Animal Crossing stage.

I hope a new checkpoint circet (I mean part 1, 2 and 3, no rounds) will come.
But new cups without this circets are ok.
