I added a snowy version to the download. It took longer than I expected, but it's done.

Both versions both look amazing. Great work!

Somewhere around 2 hours for each background.

Excellent background that you have there, I think you could add more detail to the ground (flowers, grasses, shrubs, etc ...).

Other than that, it is very beautiful.

I can add this to my favourite BGs collection.

Nice work. I think you should use a more pale green for the grass in the background to make it more like SMB3 and to differentiate it from the foreground grass.
