This was a pain to make, I feel dirty for flipping graphics to make them fit the bloody background.

This is one of the reasons why I have no patience as far as making backgrounds.

I remember playing this interesting Super Mario World hack called Brutal Mario (a very HDMA and ASM-heavy hack, btw) that had a "Dark Castle" level with this background.
Thanks for this BG, if I use it I'll be sure to give credit where it's due.

Would have been easier if the SMB3 backgrounds didn't connected with the darn cloud background, then I think this would look a bit better.
