So I'm trying to get 1.4.1 to work, but I get run-time error 429 (ActiveX component can't create object) whenever I click on Level Editor and it loads to 40%. The self-check works fine, so I don't think that's the problem.

SMBX "1.4.1" is not an official version of SMBX and therefore we cannot offer support for it here. Please ask for support from whoever/wherever you downloaded it from.
