I would suggest adding some more information to this like:
- What is this project about?
- What is the goal of it?
- Is there a story or not?
- Did you make those gfx? If not maybe give credit to the orignal authors of them or just say you didn't make those but you credit those who did.
Sure you posted screens but providing some more info about the project would be something imo.

Oh, hey, a first project that actually isn't someone saying "hi im werkin on dis"? I'll be damned.
Just a note, try to introduce some vertical platforming, just because the game is retro and apparently takes inspiration from SMB1 doesn't mean it can't be horizontal all the time, also, Tinkerbell has a point, we're fine with "princess stolen by fat lizard" as the story, we're in it for the gameplay. From what I'm seeing, you're really taking notes from the first Super Mario, probably to get yourself comfy with the editor I take it?

All the levels are really short. Like, not even half a minute and you're already at the checkpoint. The world map also needs a lot more decorations.

What you mean by goal?

I think by "What is the goal of it" Tinkerbell means, what do you like to accomplish for yourself or for the player with your project. Something like "With this project I like to get more into SMBX", or "With this project I try to bring you a more classical-styled episode, that focuses mainly around SMB1".
The screenshots look interesting, regarding the design, so I guess I can try it out later this day. :-)
Also, is the idea about the grass on the blocks yours? I find it very interesting, so I made a SMB1-styled version of it ^^.
Maybe you want to get a SMB1-styled version, that fits better than the SMB3-grass?
If so, I can give you an updated tileset with the blocks, if you like :-)

Okay, I have send you a PM which contains the shown blocks, a cave-version and a darkland-version.
When I release an update for my SMB1-pack, they will be contained in there.
Good luck for your project :-)
