Ok so this is a freaking annoying thing that keeps happening:
so sometimes when i test the level save my level load a level the editor just randomly stops responding

(i have 3 GB of Ram (2.75 usable or something) and like 250 GB of space and stuff)
it's really annoying... can someone help me (if you need more information on computer somethings just tell me :) )

Can you tell us exactly what happens to the smbx.exe process when this happens? Spike in RAM, spike in CPU usage, etc.

Also what types of levels are you trying to test/load? A rediculous amount of custom graphics/music are being used or not?

First of nothing happens the level editor just stops responding (basically smbx.exe has stopped working) nothing else just smbx.exe randomly freezes and stops responding (atleast it saves the level when i test it...) it doesn't make any issues to other programs

and i just try to load level which are in process of making (just began to create them) and maybe like 2 or 3 custom graphics and at max 2 custom music tracks

and it's always just random when it freezes
(i don't know if i missed something)

Watch task manager and see if there's a spike in resources being used.

Were these levels previously made in older versions of SMBX or created with the current version, do you know?

they are being created right now... i just started creating them...

ok so i looked at task manager and when it stopped working i had a huge cpu usage spike (from 40% to 15-20% dont know if thats good or bad) and physical memory jumps from 63% to 7X%

Hmm okay that is weird indeed. Try setting a higher process priority.

Are you saving to internal drive?

ok so i set the priority to high and that seems to have made it so it crashes less... i think

and the second thing you were talking about... well i didn't understand it

This seems surprising, since whenever I do anything, my CPU usage goes up to around 90% to the least.

To keep your crashing at a minimum from now on, try keeping as few things open on your desktop as well, that should help from keeping your computer from trying to run so many things at once.

Well... i usually have only smbx open and everything else minimzed (everything else=skype and google chrome)

also does it matter that i have a 64bit computer?

That right there is your problem I believe. Skype's a resource hog

As for 64 bit, that should help it since yano 64-bit allows more memory on Windows

It's just the editor, not the game itself? Yeah, this happens to me sometimes. Super annoying, but I've found that pressing Alt+F4 right when the music randomly stops helps keep the crash time low. Though saving usually crashes it further for some reason.

Even with the other things minimized it could make things slow. Did you have multiple tabs open in google chrome???
