To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, popular MFGG spriter Mit brought fangamers back in time with his newest sprite sheet that remade every tile, enemy, item and character sprite from the original Super Mario Bros. game. Now I've done my part to spread the nostalgia by adapting his amazing sheet for SMBX, to use in your own Mario adventures!

Now this is really something! I especially love how the original creator applied their very own artistic style, rather than remaining in the shackles of normal mario gfx styles.

Thanks... I spent a lot of time on this. As soon as I saw this sheet, my immediate thought was, "I WANNA USE THIS IN X".
And I thought others might like to use them too. ^_^

Only problem was that the Mario Bros. sprites were far too big to fit within the format without messing with LunaLua, so I just edited the SMB3 Marios to match the style.

oh wow this looks awesome. Definitely unique. I can definitely see this being used. I can also see this being restyled as well.

The koopa is heiling Bowser. Just look at the arm of it.

This looks super nice! Reminds me of the Mario cartoons, kind of.

Wow. This is actually pretty cool. I'm not sure if I would ever use it, however it does look very well done. I think the toad and the playables are my favourite part of this pack overall.
