Here's my first project ill share with you guys. Its a work in progress, all i have so far is some custom graphics, the beginning level, and a concept/test level
(and yes "Silver Mountain" is based off a resort some of you may know of :I)
Plot:
Our heroes, Peach, Mario, Toad, Yoshi, and Daisy decide to go on a relaxing vacation at the world famous Silver Mountain Resort, hoping to take a break from their hero duties for a couple days. But, as Peach and Company chill at the indoor water park, Peach notices something suspicious going on... and decides to investigate. She eventually stumbles across the secret lair of King Bro, an oversized Hammer Bro who has his own army of "Bros.", and is plotting to take over Silver Mountain! After a brief battle with Peach, King Bro springs a trap, and casts Peach, and her unsuspecting friends, far away to the Lost Forest. Now, he finally can put his plans to action! As for Peach, she must find her friends.. and find her way back to the resort to bring King Bro down once and for all! (However, there may be some sort of Plot Twist towards the end of the game! >:])
Worlds (what is planned anyways):
Beginning: Silver Mountain Waterpark
World 1: Lost Forest
World 2: Grassy Plains
World 3: Paradise Beach
World 4: Edgy Cliffs
World 5: Dusty Desert
World 6: Glassy Glacier
World 7: Peach's Kingdom (Peach was gone, a certain villain took the opportunity and attacked!!)
World 8: Silver Mountain
Screenies!

You should fix the peach playable, the daisy and yoshi NPC, the grey blocks and the background as they are pixelated (and peach, daisy and yoshi seem to have 1x1 pixels). Did you use MSpaint to make those graphics? If so I'd recommend to get paint.net instead.
The first 2 screenshots are bland, you should place more BGOs. Also, what are the other screens supposed to be? I don't understand. They seem fine though, except for the graphics used (which I previously mentioned) and the waterfall coming from nowhere, that also have a cutoff at the top (there's a BGO in the editor that can fix this).

Lol I know it's not too pretty. I just started making some of the graphics, so after I finish with them the weird waterfalls and bland scenery should be fixed!
And I was already gonna redo Daisy, but what's wrong with my Peach sprite??

it's pixelated (meaning there are random pixels on the graphic; the other graphics too have this problem), and it looks bad. Also, you try to fix a bit her hitbox, because she looks like buried in the ground.

This looks very interesting! I agree with Peach and Daisy needing to be fixed though, but if you want, pm me the sprites and i can try to fix them for you.
(Something tells me you use microsoft paint.)

Alrighty. I'll prob try out that paint.net thing. This project does need a fair amount of work, i won't lie some of it was a little rushed! Haha. But once I finish working on the graphics it should look a heck of a lot better. Even now it looks better than before xD

About time you became the main heroine of your own episode, Princess Peach! You must be tired of being captured and playing damsel in distress all the time
I like this idea. Keep working on it.

Do you need any beta-testers?

I would recommend against using a custom Peach playable, unless you find it absolutely necessary. It may look pretty once you fix it, but custom playables usually generate a lot of lag.

Beta Tester is someone who gets early access to your project so they can report bugs they find. So they help you test the project and squash any bugs.

Sorry I don't have any updates yet guys, I've been incredibly busy lately, but things are beginning to slow down so I just might have some levels and new graphics soon ^v^
Bad news, for some :(

I know a few people were excited about my "Silver Mountain Rescue" project, some even offered to help, (
http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... 34&t=11555 ) but unfortunatly i most likely won't have much progress, if any, on it anytime soon.
With all the craziness going on between my Job and my Senior Year of high School, I simply don't have a lot of extra time anymore, thus i won't be able to put out an episode anytime soon.
However, I probably can produce some individual levels every once in a while, but since i generally take more time on Episode levels (dialog, events, etc.) I most likely won't be making any progress on Silver Mountain Rescue at least until everything dies down IRL. I apologize to anyone who wanted to see it.

Don't worry! For sure we know how painful it is to keep it to work on your projects even with all that hassle that you have to go through. It's very understandable and I appreciate your hard work and effort you put in your levels. Everything takes time. I wish you good luck in the future!
My projects are also slow in general, just to say you that hehe.

I have some complaints about this.
-Why are there 3 Birdos on top of eachother?
-The brown background has ugly texture, I'd recommend you to use paint.net
-The SMB2 Birdo clashes with the SMW ghost stuff

*sigh* like i said, im well aware it's not very pretty, its a work in progress.
But there's alot more to it than meets the eye, theres tons of scripted events and all that. I also mentioned i wont be working on this for a while, but when i do again the graphics are going to be one of the first things i fix.
