SMBX controller troubles/suggestions?

What controllers do you guys use to play SMBX with?

I've been trying to get it to work with USB SNES controllers, and it doesn't ever work. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some specific info about what works and doesn't with SMBX. Thanks!

I use a logitech gamepad F310. Not the wireless one, because that one caused me problems with precision.

It doesn't have the greatest D-pad but it works well enough that I have no complaints about it when playing SMBX.

You should download joytokey. It's a free program that allows you to map any generic USB controller to you keyboard. This will allow you to use any controller you want with smbx.

Thanks for replies, yea i figured I would just end get up getting a pc controller if all else fails, but I would really like to stick to the original SNES controller if it works. It does work in my Emulator, don't know why it wouldn't for SMBX.

I'm foolin around with JoyToKey at the moment so I'll see if I can get it to work, thanks
