I feel like you need to explain in more details when you say something, because these two statements are in contradiction.

Also: what is important to note is that LunaLua no longer requires hex-edited smbx.exe, so antiviruses do not necessarily affect smbx + LunaLua anymore.

Here is Kevsoft's download page, which has all the latest LunaLua updates: http://engine.wohlnet.ru/LunaLua/

if you select "SMBX 1.3.0.2 (Vanilla + launcher)" as shown in this image:

You will download the version without hexed exe, and will work with normal 1.3.0.1 if pasted into your smbx folder.

LunaLua also can allow smbx to play on OSX/Linux, as shown in Axiom's topic: http://www.supermariobrosx.org/forums/v ... 35&t=11204

The Launcher doesn't work half the time, and it's recommended to use the hexed version.

I have never had this issue. Are you using the latest version of the launcher?

It is not always possible to deactivate the antivirus exclusively for smbx. But if the antivirus is entirely deactivated for duration of when smbx is used, then the computer is at risk.

It is better to use LunaLoader + smbx in this case, so antivirus can be left on and does not get involved

Whitelist SMBX in your AV.

Also yeah I've used many versions of the Launcher and it's only caused issues with scripts.

My antivirus actually does not interfere with smbx, though I am aware for others it does.

I have also known that some antiviruses do not allow "whitelist" unless you go through a massive amount of trouble, (particularly Avira antivirus) so it is easier to use smbx + LunaLoader when hexed exe causes issues.

This doesn't sound like too much of a problem. However, I cannot account for it anyway because I don't have these issues.

When a topic is locked, that means that it's not up for discussion anymore and you shouldn't continue it. If anybody has any more questions about LunaLua and/or official versions of SMBX, please feel free to shoot me a PM. Thanks.
