Well, so far, nobody seems to want the GBC style characters in the game. Shoulda guessed. Thus, here we have a slightly tweaked Harry Potter, plus a revamped Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger to go with him. Whaddya think? Are we gonna keep going with this? Any way I can improve this style? Let me know!

Now I just gotta see how the GBA-paletted sprites looks in-game...

If anybody'd be willing to craft some tilesets for specific locales around Hogwarts, or just for general use in hallways and classrooms, that'd be swell! (Based on the video games, movies, or your own interpretation; whichever you prefer)

I might do one tileset. I dunno, could you give me a reference image?

Well, let's see... Why don't we start with the Entrance Hall, and see how you do?
For reference, I provide screens from the GBC version of Chamber of Secrets and the PC version of Philosopher's Stone.

I'd prefer the tiles to be in 16-bit, if you would? :3

So tan bricks with red carpet edging? On it!

Can you include stairs, a background, and some background objects too, please? :3

I can do the stairs and background objects. I don't do backgrounds, sorry. I'll start working this Thursday

Is anybody still out there? I really could use some help with this endeavour! I need Hogwarts tilesets and backgrounds, and people to help me come up with level design ideas based around puzzles! Any help at all would be appreciated!

Oops! I forgot this existed! Time to get back to making those sprites. (BTW can you pm/publically release those gba Harry Potter Sprites? Since the project is now 32 bit, those would help with how the graphics look.)

Yay updates! Now my tile sets will be based around blending with these colors! (speaking of which im working on the mirrior thing and a room tile set for it.

Could I get you to make some sets for a generic Hogwarts hallway? With backgrounds, scenery, and tiles?
Think of things like bookcases, secret doors, statues, suits of armor, paintings, stairs, stone and wood tiles, and all kinds of magical shit. X3

Thats a lot to request at once, but ill see what i can do.

I'm not asking for ALL of that. I just want whatever you can do. :3 Those were merely suggestions.

Hmmm... I was expecting a set of Hogwarts tiles and BGOs from some people, but it looks like they've taken a break...

I need your help if i'm ever gonna get this project off the ground! I can handle programming events, drawing playable and npcs sprites, and I'll be a major guiding hand in level design, but unfortunately I rather lack finesse in level design and background/tileset creation. This is where I need your help! I need anybody who is willing and able to see the first Harry Potter episode brought to life to help out by trying their hand at some Hogwartsy tilesets and backgrounds!

Use whatever resources you can find as reference: the official games, the movies, books, what have you. I want to see what you all can do with the idea of how a Harry Potter game looks. :3

This is what I know we need right now, for the Entrance Hall:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLOCKS
-Stairs (1x1 slopes).
-Castle floor (A full set of 9 1x1 Blocks, with top, bottom, sides, and corners).
-Castle walls (1x1 set of 9).
-Flipendo Switch Block (See screens from the PC games).

BACKGROUND OBJECTS
-Bookcase (1 or 2 different styles will do).
-Paintings/Banners/Tapestries/Statues (Could possibly be added into the actual background instead).
-Suit of Armor.
-Castle Doors (Single and Double for halls and classrooms, and Giant Front Doors).
-Torch/Fire Pillar.
-Fireplace.

BACKGROUND
-A tannish castle wall, possibly decked with tapestries, portraits and the like. No parallax scrolling, and with slightly faded colors so as to tell it apart from the foreground scenery.

It's a HUGE project, and there'll definitely be more than just the Entrance Hall to decorate. Feel free to pass this first task along to other talented tileists you know if the Entrance Hall seems too daunting for you alone.

Not bad, eh? It's still a WIP, still needs banisters, hallway decor, and such, but once he finishes all the tiles and BGOs, adds a bit more detail and recolors here and there, it'll be perfect for Stone!

Anybody think they can match this? Or do better? ;3
