The threadly Debate thread

So this is where people participate in a debate that could be any subject.
The debate can last long as a 100 pages (the thread's page limit), or until it has not had a new post within 28 days (Four Weeks).

I decide the good thing to debate on is Windows 8 OS

Say why you like the OS or if you are a disliker, say why you don't like the system.

This is good for what people point-of-views are about the subject. They can be good or bad, and other people can comment on what one person stated.

The poll is there to vote on what the next subject should be for the next debate. (No poll specified yet.)

(If you would like to see a subject that would be good for people here to debate on, send me a PM.)
(Threadly means until the thread reaches 100 pages, or until it becomes older than 28 days without a new reply.)

(Start:)

I like Windows 8 OS because you can download Window Phone apps and easily play them on your PC.
I also like how the Start up is a lot quicker than the previous OS's.
Windows 8 is a better gaming OS than Windows 7.

I don't mind Windows 8, it's definitely good-looking and fast, but the Start menu is way too confusing. I have it in VirtualBox.
My screen isn't a phone!

Also, the default music player is some new app instead of Windows Media Player, so I have to right-click and open it in Media Player, which gets tiring, and I can't set it as the default. Also, PDF files and things are all opened in some other Start menu gimmick.

Finally, when I tried to use Skype, it asked for a Microsoft account. I selected No and it kept popping up until I had to reset the Virtual Machine.

Overall, there's my little rant on Windows 8. Not as good as Windows 7 or Windows XP, but it definitely is okay for touchscreen devices like Surface Pros.

If you'd like to debate a specific topic, feel free to create a thread for it. A thread that cycles through debate topics is, in my opinion, less fostering to good discussion.
