I was recently introduced to Discord by a group of friends, and they, being a group on Skype, have since moved over to this new chat program called Discord.
No I'm not talking about the Discord from My Little Pony either.
Discord is 100% Free. You can have as many people in a voice chat without issues, unlike Skype, where you have to, technically, pay to have a voice chat in a group with more than 24 people. Discord uses less memory than Skype. (Currently: Skype 170MB, Discord 40MB) Discord is a lot more secure than Skype (for those concerned with that.) It also has a better channel management system, where you can easily mute, kick, or ban people at the click of a button, unlike Skype. You can also mute specific people in calls if they're annoying you/making loud noises, as well as adjust the volume for others for yourself, so if someone is too quiet, you can make them louder. It's time to ditch Skype and TeamSpeak. Discord is here.
All-in-one voice and text chat for gamers that’s free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. Stop paying for TeamSpeak servers and hassling with Skype. Simplify your life.
You'll never go back.

Plus it's still in beta, and has more features planned in the future. To be caught up with Skype so quickly is awesome.
Basically, if you want to make a server, you just go to https://discordapp.com and enter a username (which you can register later), and click the (+) on the left side. Enter the details and BAM. You have a server!
As well as on the plus side, Discord doesn't require registration or downloading any programs, but for the full experience, it is recommended you do so. Just enter a username and connect! If you want to register that username later, you can. Make sure you do so before someone else nabs it! Don't like your username? You can also change it later!
Discord is currently available for Windows, Mac, IOS and Android. They are still in beta, and are open to requests, questions and concerns. Registration can only be done via desktop as of right now, but they do plan on allowing that on mobile soon enough.

What do you think? If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
If any of you admins join and want power, you can message me here to verify you are the admin and tell me your discord username on the server, and I can make you an admin.

I decided to just make one, so if you want to you can join here ; https://discord.gg/0S56f6QSW4nW2uBQ
