I agree with the others, there isn't that much contrast there, making the snow kinda hard to see.

Also that cactus looks janky as hell. The rock tilesets are pretty cool, though I wonder why there are two. The bottom one isn't dark enough to work for nonsolid background tiles.

Hey guys, I came up with a great idea for custom graphics.

It's monochrome, so it's meant to look a little bit cartoonish in order to make its features stand out. I think this would work perfect in a GameBoy or B&W TV styled level, don't you think

Here, I fixed it for you by SMB3-recoloring it.

Yeah, it does look like something from a game from the Game Boy.
