Is floating in space simply just us perceiving it the way?

This might seem like a stupid question and itprobably is but, this article seems to suggest that we are not floating but Infact falling while revolving around the earth.

We know that we don't " float." on earth because gravity, but what LITTERALLY causes space's floating like properties.
Maby I'm questioning this because I'm so accustomed to gravity on earth I think it's "normal" I think so haha.

Ok the title is really confusing. I thought you were talking about any object in space, no matter the relativity to earth. But yeah, the fact that orbiting the Earth means falling without touching the Earth isn't really news. Vsauce explained it pretty well:

When I read your post I thought this was about how position in the observable universe changes by hundreds of kilometers every second. But since I didn't understand your post and it looks like Marina did, /thread.

Yea that's what I'm trying to say.

This exactly.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, wrote that post right when I woke up.
