I just downloaded and installed SMBX and for some reason I start with a 96% saved file on Invasion 2. I have never played it on this PC and wiped it a few weeks ago. I have played it a while back with a identical save file, but that was on an old PC.

I'm not sure. Did you download SMBX from this website?

Yes, I went to the thread to get the latest version and downloaded the .zip install file from Mediafire.

That just means that the episode was play-tested, but the uploader of the episode forgot to delete his/her save file. It's actually quite common and quite annoying; the only thing we can do is delete the included save file(s) manually.

Now the question is:
How to delete save files?

That's not very helpful.

You go into the episode's folder and find the .sav files - you'll have save1.sav, save2.sav, and save3.sav. If they don't show up, click "Show Compatibility Files." From there it's as simple as pressing delete on your keyboard.

Your save files will be saved inside your SMBX Episode like for example in the invasion 2, once you select the first slot and then beat a level or save it, the file "save1.sav" will be created inside the invasion 2 folder and if you want to delete it again, go to that specific SMBX episode, search for save#.sav (# being a number) and delete it. Simple as that.
