For those who know the infamous DKC level, Snow Barrel Blast, I'm looking for an effect that increases and decreases the amount of snow in the foreground and background of the level.

I really want to have the level I'm making intensify as you progress as if you're dealing with a blizzard head on. So it'd help if there were moments where the blizzard made it more difficult for the player to see his own character or other enemies and obstacles in the way.

I'd appreciate any help with this! I've been having so much trouble finding ways to increase the difficulty of seeing the foreground of the levels whether it be fog, smoke, blizzards, smog, etc.

This progect uses the graphic your looking for.
And for the rising and lowering effects,
1-create a layer called "snow"
2-now create 2 effects,"rise" and "lower"
3-make it so they trigger each after a certain amount of time
4-now check the "auto start" box in the rise event,
5-set the layer movement to snow for both events
6-in the ''vertical movement'' box set the same numbers for each event but make one a negative number,for example,0.5 for rise and -0.5 for lower.
7-Test the level to see if you did it right
