EDIT: This is actually a good use for an ad actually, so disregard pretty much everything up there.

Actually features are probably still gonna exist, but in the form of a potential monthly newsletter, which we are working on at the moment.

Either you just have to deal with this situation or ask as of why the ad is now here even though it says "YOUR AD HERE" all the time.

Or as of what @Marina said up there... that could be possible.

I was going to post something like this, but then I read the rules. But to be honest, I don't like this ad replacement thing. I'm going to miss that featured Episode/Graphics.

It says "your ad here" because nobody's bid on it yet. Hopefully that'll change soon.

Like Marina said, featured episodes/graphics will return; instead, they'll be in the forum newsletter.

When you say newsletter, will this include a mail list? I personally would like that.

I won't mind though if it's just one ad placement. Tbh I don't know how will this work out. I still don't like ads either.

I won't ever have invasive ads here because I don't believe in that. It'll just be the banner ad.

I don't like ads either because of invasive-ness, security, and bandwidth reasons but I'll disable my extensions as long as the ads are harmless static images like they are now. I have no problem with them as they are now tbh.

I agree with you. As long as they aren't going to like force open or something similar, I can stick with such ad like that one right now.

Project Wonderful is never invasive so that should be fine.

I'm in the same boat as Aeromatter.

Oh hey, XerX has an ad for his project up now. That's pretty cool.

I'm worried that this will get this site taken down. Isn't that one of the theories as to why SMBX was taken down?
If it was OpenCandy that counted as advertising and not the image ads, there's nothing to worry about.

Wait a minute, wasn't the entire reason Nintendo (took over/shut down) Redigit's website because of ads? If so, doesn't this mean that the same thing can happen to this forum now?

I still think that the orange box would be better used to advertise the upcoming forum newsletter (when it's complete, obviously).
