Well ladies and gentlemen, there's a new video (from yours truly, been ages since I touched Youtube) in the opening post of this very thread. Also C3 is six days away. Wish us luck!

I'm surprised that more haven't downloaded the demo yet ('specially after the fact that C3 is over and done with). Anyways there's another group of new screenshots in the opening post, go check 'em out and the download link to the demo is still valid.

Y'know that's actually a good point. Why HAVE only so little people checked this out? This is awesome!

Probably that most people don't know of the whole TSRP series to begin with?
On an unrelated note, I really like the demo we have here. I can't wait for the day it gets finished!

Was goofing around with the demo. Bad idea.
Everything seems well made tho.

Is.....
Is that a toy castle themed level?, it looks pretty nice and the detail looks neat, although there is a cutoff ( look at the pink pipe)

maybe reduce the density of random stuff in the tileset... it's rather disorienting right now

I kind of like the excessive amount of detail

Yeah, the ground needs to be less busy with detail and the 3/4 and 4/4 blocks shouldn't be there imo (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHS_TC4Rr1M )

What I posted was not a real level but just a quick experiment with a new tileset. Of course the decoration isn't supposed to be used like that. I just thought it would be funny to make a mess out of the 16 different decoration pieces that the tileset has.

This needs to be stickied.

I've been working on the aesthetics of the fortress level of world 3, called Enter the Mouser. It's supposed to be a floating temple in the sky. I've still got to come up with some gimmicks, etc.

How about the level relying around bombs? That would make sense considering it's mouser!

I second the bombs idea - you could have some areas where there are bridges made out of destroyable blocks and you have to run across them before they blow up - you could have it reset by re-showing the destroyed blocks layer if you hit a switch or something if the player didn't make it across the first time.
I also think you should try to make the transition between the fortress tiles and the cave tiles smoother - they're so different and it looks strange when it suddenly jumps from one to the other.
