You spent three days working on this simple green hue effect? The hue effect doesn't fit this level's environment
at all! It would fit in, like I said, a swamp or toxic cavern of some sort, but it just looks, quite honestly, rather awful here.
Three days?! I could do that in about an hour or two with Paint.NET, no problem. Just go through, use the Hue/Saturation Adjustment under the Adjustment tab, select a suitable color, and place it on every single graphic I will use.
I'm just making an inference that you took points off for bad grammar.
I never took points off for bad grammar? I never even stated that I did? I just brought that up so you can fix it in any future levels.
Also, there were so much secrets, that it was amazing.
I played through that level about four times in one night and I only found a total of two stars, and I looked everywhere throughout the level for any other secrets, and I didn't find any.
Not to be obnoxious, but did you even play it? Three stars, red coins, P blocks, many gimmicks besides just moving mushrooms too. Sorry, but what do you expect?
I played through the level, like I had just said previously, about
four times over. I only found two stars throughout the entirety of the level, the only gimmick I really saw was the moving mushrooms. The red coins only served the purpose of generating events which caused some of the mushrooms to appear, which shouldn't count as a gimmick on it's own! I don't count stars as gimmicks, to be frank.
There is no way that this got a six out of ten, it already got reviewed twice and got much better scores, I'm just speechless, frankly, and discouraged as hell. You barely gave any constructive criticism, either, and by the things you pointed out it was definitely at LEAST eight point fifty out of ten.
Were you expecting a 6.5? The least I would give this level is a 6, but I wouldn't score it past a 7. Out of my review and the other two, this level was placed in Pretty Good as that is what it scored, so I don't see why you're wanting a higher score. An "eight point fifty out of ten" would still place it in Pretty Good, so it's no different from a 6, in my opinion.
Also, I'm not going to make walk-through style reviews just to point out every single bit of this level. I'm also not one to hand out constructive criticism. I will point out some things I noticed and liked/disliked in the level, and I'll go from there.
I can handle constructive criticism, I've proved that in my story thread and even this thread, though for that little constructive criticism, it's nothing BUT something to complain about.
Uh, okay? What does this have to do with anything?
I think you should get better at exploring levels and distributing constructive criticism; I was strict a level judge, but no where close as that. I am incredibly disappointed, and I'm not sure if I'm the only one that thinks I got a horrible score, either.
I can assure you that I pay attention to almost every little detail when running through a level, I don't see how I need to "get better at exploring levels". And what do you mean by "distributing constructive criticism"? Is constructive criticism all you care about? I'm also certain that you're the only one that thinks that you got a "horrible score", because your score isn't horrible, you got a
6 out of 10! That placed you in the
Pretty Good category! There are people with levels that scored
under a 6! Don't be disappointed!
Also, you were never a strict level judge, so stop saying you were. kthxbai
I guess I can think you for your review, except I feel quite uncomfortable mentioning that due to the reasons I said above.
You're welcome, I guess?
