Bowser isn't scary anymore

Nintendo has made Bowser more like a rival than an "ultimate evil conquerer" like he used to be. Now kids growing up have the wrong image about him. Nintendo has pushed Bowser too far into being a frenemie that he just isn't enjoying to be a final boss or ultimate antagonist in a game anymore.

Hell I'm even thinking about making an episode with Bowser to " restore " his origins

Discuss.

Alone by taking down Bowser as the main villain to the Mario series was for sure a thing in the past. Now it's just seem to be repetitive by having Bowser always as the main rival to the series but even then they come up with new ideas like in SM3DW tbh.

The problem is that too but aswell as all those games are preety much remixes of past games. The story line sucks and bowser needs to be shown less in the games. Just so people don't get bored of him quickly, and yeah they need to take a break from adding too much Bowser.

Like make a new game entirely, with a new storyline and antagonists.

Almost every Mario platform game... "Bowser has kidnapped princess Peach. Mario must go save her!" At least SMB2, Super Paper Mario, and some others didn't had to do with kidnapping.

I don't think you've played that many Mario games.

I dunno, even when Bowser is an frenemie he's still usually around. See SPM for example.

Bowser was never scary lol.

Also oc he is the main rival of mario bc every hero has one. Mario has Bowser, Sonic has Eggman, Kirby has usually King Dedede like back in the cartoon.

AlphaDream's Mario&Luigi RPG series pictures him like I always imagined him, and still makes him a threatening final boss every time. Dream Team even makes him more menacing than he ever was before. Hands down the best Mario series.

For example?

SMB2 is the only one I can think of at this point where Bowser doesn't appear. And that's my favourite classic Mario title.

Mario Land 1 and 2. Radishl especially would know that.

Honestly, like others have said he was never really that scary. He may have scared you when you were a kid (he certainly scared me when I was a kid) but among antagonists in literature he's still definitely on the low end of scary. In fact, I'd say his look has gotten scarier over time; his Super Mario 64 in-game design is kind of cute.

But wot is the next game has Dark Bowser as Final Boss (No Bowser's inside story sequel, just a normal mario game with another story)

Dark Bowser was actually evil. He doesn't just try to take over the Mushroom Kingdom, he wanted to destroy it. This is what we want Bowser to be instead of a frenemy. Remember back in Super Mario World Bowser was more evil than he is now - listen to the background music during the fight, it scared me when I was playing Super Mario Advance 2 when I was a lot younger.

Here's some examples of recent Nintendo games still creating a tense atmosphere in their "pathetic bowser battles". Especially in the Dream Team, I'd say, he's more evil than he was in any of the classic Mario titles (The point I'm trying to make here is amplified if you played any of these games):
Spoilers for Mario 3D World, Mario Bros U and Dream Team Bros.
Spoiler: show

Bowser was never scary to me. But taking a look back to the story of Super Mario Brothers, when he was then known as King Koopa, he was kinda scary. I mean, why he doesn't use black magic anymore and leaves the magic to Kamek?

When I mean scary guys, I don't mean like horror scary but just menacing.

The vibe you feel when you face the final boss of a game that's like a demon of some sort.
