F.LUX: A program for night gamers

Basically, it is a program that helps with your eyes during the night while playing on a computer.

As the frontpage says:
"During the day, computer screens look good—they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun."
Exposure to blue light at the wrong time like nighttime can do serious damage to you eyes and lower the prduction of melatonin, an hormone that regulates sleep."

Why should this be a big concern? Well, if you hurt your eyes, you may lose your sight. Lose your sight, and you can't see any screen, hence meaning that it is impossible to see the forums and play SMBX.

So what exactly does it do, before I download it?

It changes the screen's colors according to the time of day it is. They say this is to prevent eye injury. You can turn it off for the evening if you want to do stuff like Paint.Net though.

F.lux has basically become a necessity to me. I can't stand looking at bright screens, especially at night, so it's perfect when I'm up later than I should be, which is all the time.

No wonder my eyes are bloodshot, which I like along with my hoodie to be creepy.
